Comments about Apple 24" iMac Desktop Computer:
The biggest difference I see, between the Mac, and the PC is reliability. No more crashes, viruses, or screen freeze. I recently updated to 8GB memory. Also added a 5.1 speaker system. Only regret I have, is not making the move to Apple sooner. I would definitely refer anyone who is looking for a great computer, to spend a little more. I think you will be happy for years to come.

I've used Dell computers for year. Never again! This IMac is amazing! It takes no time to get use to how these machines work! Don't wait! Buy a Mac!

Comments about Apple 24" iMac Desktop Computer:
I'm a pro video producer with bad memories of earlier editing issues. With a turn to all-Mac gear, all I can say is all right! Fast and fully capable; too cool.
I'm running Final Cut and using the iMAC for video editing only, with a separate scratch drive for each project. Simply efficient.

The size of the screen is just perfect. The 27" monitors are often just too big for some users like me. The 24" provides just the right amount and at a more affordable price!

Comments about Apple 24" iMac Desktop Computer:
The 24" display on this iMac is fantastic. Really a clear difference in quality from my old 17" imac G5. The 640Gb drive is going to be plenty large for me for a long long time. As for speed there is no comparison between this iMac and the old and slow G5.
Im editing HD video on this one with no hiccups which is more than I had hoped for.
It would be nice if it came with the extended keyboard not the laptop size one with number pad.

Comments about Apple 24" iMac Desktop Computer:
I've been really happy with the purchase of this machine. My last mac was over seven years old, and finally kicked the bucket (screen went kaput) over a year and a half ago. I was a little worried about how much had changed in that period of time, and if there would be a lot of hiccups in the transfer of files, etc. No worries, however. Set this baby up and was ready to go in just a couple of hours. This thing is beautiful, fast, efficient, and extraordinarily easy to use. I kind of feel sorry for all the other, inferior little computers out there.

As 15 year pro photog, I've used PCs for years and have had many, many expensive problems - such as keyboards going wacky with photoshop on a RAID configured PC, virus and update issues and other problems ad naseum. Now that my main PC's hard drive has almost seized and since I wasn't keen on Vista, I've opted for an IMac. Photoshop CS4 runs perfect on the mac - 1st time, and it picked up my network automatically. But what really stands out is the beautiful 24" monitor and Apple's smooth, integrated system that really works - from the get go. Thank-you [...] Mac!

The Dell/Windows XP was getting slower and slower as more and more Windows updates were applied. The machine needed to be rebooted frequently and applications would freeze. Finally decided to try the iMac.
The screen size changed from a Dell 19" to the iMac 24. This was an excellent choice as there is more room to view more browser windows or applications.
The learning curve from Windows to iMac was suprisingly short. The iMac was just easy to use, easy to find files and have not had any issues with applications that freeze.
I was able to import the Outlook mail from Windows XP by installing Firefox on Windows XP, importing the Outlook mail and contacts into Firefox and then importing Firefox into iMac Mail.
Two inconveniencse are: missing the right click on the mouse and missing the number keypad on the keyboard.

Getting used to this format from a PC is a bit difficult but im told it is worth it. So far looks pretty promising. The Apple people are amazing to deal with with any set up. Great computer. My only beef is that my Epson Printers do not seem to print what I see. Im told that I need to purchase a calibration tool. For $500. That is tough to swallow.

I am an avid photographer, and use this computer for basically editting and creating photo slideshows, which this mac is great for. The processing power and speed is phenominal, and its easy to use right out of the box. If your coming from a PC, it will only take you about an hour to get used to a Mac.

purchased to replace an aging Macbook. Finally - no more struggling to read the screen. Actually will have a desk addition designed and built to accommodate the 24" iMac. This computer is meant to be an essential tool for completing a project and it has lived up to it's hype - no complaints! - and the mini keyboard is perfect for a small desk space.

Comments about Apple 24" iMac Desktop Computer:
I purchased the new iMac 24" computer with 2.66 Ghz Core 2 Duo Intel and 4 GB Ram with a 640 Gig hard drive a few weeks ago. I was amazed at how easy it was to set up. After loading my working software and downloading AOL and Foxfire I was ready to start working in about an hour!. I'm a photographer and I need a fast and dependable computer that can handle complex image editing programs and so far I can say without reservation that the new Imac handles every task with great speed and ease.
I bought the Apple Care 3-year extended warranty and so far I have not needed to call for technical support.
The glossy screen could be a problem for some users-just don't set it up in a brightly lit area that will produce too many reflections.
The only other downside is that it can be a challenge to make prints that can match the brilliant display of this computer!
All I can say is Bravo to Apple.
