This new card reader is amazing. I had no idea that my old reader was such a slug! I only kept it because it was so small and portable. The transfer rate of my pictures on this new reader is superb. I couldn't be happier!

The Sony card reader works great, it does as advertised. This is the third Sony card reader I've bought as I use one at work and my Son took the one from home with him to school.

Not only do I use this reader to upload images from my CF card to my computer, I use it to transfer data files cross platform (Mac & PC), which it does flawlessly. It also accepts every memory card that is used around our office...and them some!

This was a big improvement over the built in card reader on my computer. Speed for downloading RAW was vastly improved and use couldn't be any easier. Just plug in and go.

I've had trouble with other card readers and drive letter assignments. This reader worked immediately and has had no trouble reading any memory card I've inserted. Data transfer seems faster than other readers I've used as well. So far very impressed. No complaints.

Comments about Sony 17-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader:
I've never used another card reader, but this one is nice and small. It easily fits into a camera bag. It also looks nice, unlike some of the chitzy plasticky ones I've seen. It's fast and reliable.
No drivers required (Mac OS X). Just plug it in.

Comments about Sony 17-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader:
A friend recently purchased a Nikon D700 and was downloading his files via USB from the camera. On average, it would take about 10 minutes to download a few .NEF files; roughly 500 MB.
It took me a couple minutes to download 1.5 GB of .CR2 and .JPG files to my laptop. Definitely much faster. Especially nice if you've got a Mac since there's no driver to install, just plug-in-play! Great purchase! I've only had it for about a month but haven't noticed any problems, so it's reliable?

Comments about Sony 17-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader:
This card reader is not only fast, but it is also dependable since the slot for loading cards are very deep, which can prevent bending or breaking pins, especially when using CF cards.
It looks great too, with its brushed aluminum top.

Comments about Sony 17-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader:
There are a lot of cheeseball card readers out there with cockypoopy, unreliable contacts, bad fitting slots, no clear labelling and not too "Universal" USB compatability.
This card reader is not one of those. :-)
