The extremely powerful and ergonomically designed Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera provides an astounding 18x wide-angle optical zoom (equivalent to 27-486mm on a 35mm camera), so photographers have virtually all options open to locate and frame their subjects, both far and wide. This versatile camera incorporates Dual Image Stabilization to provide double protection against blur caused by camera shake - which becomes more likely as the level of zoom increases. Furthermore, Face Detection Technology has been included to guarantee the capture of sharper, more accurately exposed faces. Furthermore, the camera has a resolution to 8.0 megapixels, ensuring that you'll capture all of the details. The SP-550 UZ also performs well in low light with a high Sensitivity up to ISO 6400.
The Olympus SP-560 UZ provides a broad range of image control. The more serious photographer can take advantage of full manual exposure capability, or Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority modes. However the camera also has a fully automatic exposure mode and a selection of and 23 scene modes, so there's a perfect setting for every user, and for pretty much any situation. The 2.5" bright LCD makes it easy to frame and capture shots, without having to squint and make guesses about how the image will turn out, and thanks to an ergonomic design plus the intuitive menu and button layouts, the SP-560 UZ is a delight to hold and just as much fun to operate for anyone, at any skill level.

Comments about Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera:
I've had the camera for just 2 weeks. I went to Alaska and took pictures of zoo animals with great results, especially the bald eagle where the cage wires disappeared in front of his face.
I also zoom in for closeup shots of my cats, catching them unguarded. Shots are wonderful. The zoom, the movie, and the sequential shots are my favorites.
I use the camera for documenting my sculpture work; for travel to post to blogs and animal websites; and for my sculpture portfolio and website.

Comments about Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera:
I am so happy with this camera. I still use my old Oly C2100UZ that is 8 years old now and after using a Sony DSC-H1, Fuji and a Canon, Olympus is simply the best camera of all these. The image stabilization is the key. Better than anything any other product offers. Once you have used an Olympus product, you are familiar with all the controls as they are about the same. No real learning curve needed. Simply a wonderful, affordable camera and the ZOOM! WOW! Buy it if you can still find it. A little less expensive than the new SP570.....and just super good. Highly recommend this camera and of course HIGHLY RECOMMEND B&H Photo. I have bought with them for years for my digital needs....absolutely the best site and trustworthy in every respect. [...]

Comments about Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera:
I purchased this camera for the family and between all the capabilities and functions for advanced photography and the auto functions makes this camera a breeze to use. The large zoom is a definite plus for taking great closeups! Only downside is the auto focus does have a little lag time, but that's to be expected.

Comments about Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera:
I use this camera to take a variety of types of photos and it has worked very well - actually better than a SL digital 510E. It is small and easy to carry and it has all the programs that the 510E has -- from fireworks (which worked great) to landscape and macros. I really appreciate the 18x zoom for wildlife photos. Successive photos are taken so fast that it is easy to capture the action. The 4 AA batteries lasted much longer than the lithium ones. I would recommend this camera for anyone.

Comments about Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera:
I bought this camera as a gift for my wife, we are both impressed with its power and versatility. It takes very good Macro shots, and the zoom is the most powerful one you can get in this class of camera. The camera fits well the in the hand, and controls are easy to reach and use. Very nice!

Comments about Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera:
I've had this camera for a few months now and I love it. I have taken some great pictures of my friends, their kids and some really wonderful nature shots. I use this camera often and I love it. I bring it with me every where. Every once in a while it doesn't focus quick enough for me. But that doesn't happen often and it's probably my fault. I'm sure I move the camera or something. It is very easy to use. I definitely recommend this camera to any one who loves to take great pictures.
