I bought three of these radios with very low expectations. I am a huge fan of Motorola two way radios, but when I saw these for under [...] brand new, my first thought was what's wrong with them.The range on them seems to be decent.The sound quality is great!The they seem to be fairly sturdy, but I wouldn't take them on a construction site, and they definitely are not built like the Motorola distance series(which we took rock climbing and accidentally dropped about 250' bouncing all the way down he rock, and hit the bottom and still worked just fine.)the one major disappointment with these radios is the battery. If you do no charge it right before you use it. it will already be half dead.I would only recommend this product with reservations.I don't think you will get a better radio for the price.

This 2 way is great. I was looking for a good buy and I couldn't be happier. I use this device on video shoots and they work well. I went as far as 5 blocks and they worked very well and clear.

I bought 3 units to use on a cruise ship.
I was happy with the reception I received.(I was on deck 6 and could talk to deck 10 above and deck
3 below. My results may not be typical but It was
a great way to communicate on ship and in other countries.)
The program keys must be press together before
power is turned on. It stresses the hand but will keep from inadverting hitting the keys
