This Lensbaby Plastic Optic is part of the Lensbaby Optic Swap System. Lensbabies has developed a line of different "optics" that can be interchanged with the Muse, Composer, and Control Freak lenses. This provides artists with an almost unlimited variety of looks and styles to capture their unique visions.
The Plastic Optic provides the softest, dreamiest look in the line-up of optics. It results in photos that have a very ethereal look, with abundant chromatic aberration.

Very creative addition to the lensbaby system. Adds an ethereal dreamy look. It produces flare and chromatic aberration when shooting toward bright objects...can be very interesting and fun.
Swapping out the optics is not a problem, just make sure you zoom the optic all the way out before you use your lid to change them.

With this optical kit, you can achieve that dreamy look, only possible in LOMO analogic photo cameras, as DIana, Holga and Smena.
Perfect for that artistic look that you've been looking for, without the need of the post production.
Easy to change and clearer than the pinhole model. Very nice.

I've enjoyed "toy-camera" photography for years especially with my favorite Holga. Yet, I found myself taking too many cameras with me wherever I went. I wanted to be able to carry just one camera bag. The plastic optic for the Lensbaby gives me the ability to carry one camera body yet be able to produce "normal" and lomo-type photographs. This optic produces a dream-like effect especially when combined with the f/2.8 insert. The optics are easy to switch in and out since the cover for the plastic optic case serves as the tool to insert and take out the lens (great idea Lensbaby!).
