This player is perfect, has a good price, lot of features and it's pretty easy to use.You don't need a especial program to put the music in your mp4, the movies ans photos need a small program the comes with the player, and it's again easy to use. It's small, seems very resistant and I hope it lasts very long time. For the ones who are in doubt , this is it.
Problems Encountered: Not yet..didn't find any problems.

I have had this MP3 for about 4 months and It seems to be a great alternative when you compare all the features that are supposed to work vs the Ipod. But I have had many problems since I bought it. It is easy to load songs and delete them. but I have experienced the following.1. The battery does not last a whole day..I had a B-B-Q the other day and it didnt last through out the whole day, only 6-8 continuous hours. 2. It is supposed to playback photos, I loaded several photos to it, (all of which I resized so not to take up too much space) and it only shows the photos that came pre-loaded on it...still havent figured out why. 3. The Fm tuner isnt that clear and is interfered by almost anything. 4. Voice recording is easy and clear, but scanning through a recording is difficult, you have to listen to the whole thing several times.5. If you add too many songs to your Go List it will freeze and take forever to go back to the main music list.I havent tried to load any movies/video on to it yet, but thats because it had problems with the pics so I was discouraged.6. The instructions are not that well explained. The sound is pretty good, nice and clear and it is easy to use, but, the battery life problem is a pain, and the fact that it has yet to show me one of the picture o loaded on to it is discouraging.

Nice device but quite fragile. The LCD is cracked (it is the second SANSA I bought and cracked) very easily and there is no one selling a replacement kit. I'll just have to throw away both SANSAs. This is supposed to be a portable device to withstand some minor hits. Think if your cell phone was cracked so easily, would you buy that brand again ?

Problems Encountered: Fragile, broken easily. No spare parts (LCD) available.

My wife bought me the e260 for my birthday and I couldn't be happier! This player has it all and is at a great price, especially when compared to its iPod equivalent. Aside from the value and boat load of features the Sansa has exceptional sound quality. I use 320kbs files, however, even at 192 and 128kbs the sound is still amazingly great. The best feature with the Sansa is the expandable Micro SD slot. Other than having an unlimited storage capacity, if you are like me and have over six hundred CDs, you can use the extra cards for different genres and keep a nice mix on the internal memory, and the best is you can keep Snoop Dogg from breaking out at a family function and scaring your Grandma when using your player as a party player. Best purchase I have made since my Xbox360. I highly recommend this player!
Problems Encountered: No problems in fact the battery lasts well over it's rated 20hr before charge limit.

Comments about SanDisk Sansa e260 4GB Portable Digital Music MP3 Player:
This review should apply to MP3 models in the SanDisk Sansa e200 series. I bought the SanDisk Sansa e260 because of the features offered at a price lower than the Ipod equivalent. After two weeks, I am extremely happy with my selection. Using Windows Media Player 11, It took a couple of hours to decide which songs to add, but only took about 5 minutes to sync to the e260. The previous reviewer said the sound was not loud enough. This is not a problem with the e260, but with the db-level of the songs. I used a free program called MP3gain to increase the db-level from the average 89 to 99. This produced a louder sound with no adverse effect to the song. It also allowed me to keep the volume level around 50%, which, I believe, gives the e260 a cd-quality sound. The included Media Converter software makes copying videos and pictures a snap. Videos are shown on the LCD in landscape, making it easier to view and enjoy. The voice recorder also produces a clear, crisp sound and won't make it impossible to comprehend later. The recorder can be easily started by pressing the record button on the left side. Unfortunately, recording can't be stopped as easily. You have to look at the LCD and select either pause or stop. It would have been nice if the record button acted as a toggle switch to start and stop. The e260 has a spin-wheel that is easy to use. It is raised enough to use, but without interfere surrounding buttons. I never knew the Ipod Nano had a spin-wheel until I ready the instructions. Even then, it was difficult locate because it was completely flat. The menu was easy to access and maneuver around in. You can also use the menu button to power on and off. I could never figure how to power off the Ipod Nano without waiting for it to shut itself off. The microSD slot on the right side allows for unlimited storage capacity for the e260. I have not yet had a need to purchase any cards, so I can't offer any personal views on it. Based on everything else I have discovered about the E260, I am looking forward to giving it a try. As for accessories, I would like to see B & H offer more than the ones they do. While the Ipod may have a lot more accessories, a Google search revealed that there is an adequate treasure chest of choices for the e200 mp3 players. In conclusion, if any purchasing this unit has any problems with the e260, then you may have received a defective model and should exchange it. Any other problems is most likely due to human error or problems with syncing software (like WMP 11).
