I use it when I travel for photo downloads and storage or large PC data transfers. I only need to carry a couple of CF cards now and when one fill up; I just copy to the drive and keep on shooting. No more having to haul around a laptop or deciding which shots to sacrifice to free up memory space on a 3” view screen. I now have the freedom to shoot in the largest format setting as much as I want with the luxury of editing later at home.
Not so good: it is basic, and it will copy a memory card and then shut of when done. No viewing files and no prompting that it has copied that card before. The CF dock is shallow, so be careful of the pins when loading.

This device does work pretty well, but I noticed too late that if you're running Windows Vista you cannot format the drive. I formatted it with the wrong format (NTFS) and now have to get support to help me. But it syncs up fine and downloads from the card, and then into the computer, just fine. I have great hopes this will solve my on-location storage problems.

I bought the FlashPac to use while on a 6-week trip to Italy. I needed something for backup of the cards from both my camera and my wife's. It has worked perfectly thus far (we are two weeks into the trip and I have backed up 5-6 times; a total of more than 13 GB, using both 2 and 4 GB cards). I highly recommend this product if you only need to back up but not view your photos.

Use to store, and back-up digital photos while traveling. The download speed is fantastic! The battery drains about 3/4 after 10GB of data. When backing up files, you cannot select which individual files you want/do not want saved onto it from a card. This leads to saving the same files multiple times.

Comments about Wolverine 120GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
The FlashPac 7000 is very easy to use, even for the non-computer literate. I am a photographer and wanted a way to insure my pictures until I get back to my office and I did not want to have to lug my laptop everywhere with me. It does the job that I needed it for well. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars was that I would have liked a back-lit display.

This device has worked well for me. I bought it for mobile storage of images when I went on vacation, to eliminate the need to lug a computer with me. It has proven to be simple to use and reliable. It's not fancy, but it does what is was designed to do very well.
I was concerned that some reviewers said it was slow, but I found it reads the cards faster than my old "cheap" card reader. I keep it plugged into the computer to use as a card reader when I don't have it with me on location because the transfer is much faster.

HOT: Excellent product. Simple to use. Works as advertised. Transfer rate acceptible - I shoot mostly RAW.
NOT: Battery life per charge. Also as advertised but I wish I could transfer more than 1-4GB card.

Comments about Wolverine 120GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
Living in Colorado, I take a lot of 2-3 day trips and don't want to have to bring a computer along to download the flash cards from the pictures I take on my digital camera. With the FlashPac, I can backup my cards and continue shooting as many pictures as I like. I then transfer the images onto my computer when I get home and don't have to have a number of spare flash cards.
Comments about Wolverine 120GB FlashPac 7000, 7-in-1 Portable Data Storage Device:
I bought one of these devices to take with me on a 4 day once in a life time trip where I was not going to be able to take my laptop with me. I knew I was going to be taking non stop photos so I knew I needed wither more memory cards or a device like this. I already owned a 2 and 4GB CF cards and 2x 1GB xD cards. This item fit perfectly into my camera bag (lowepro AW1) and the charger went into the bottom of my suitcase.Other than the xD card problem as noted the unit worked well. The battery life is not as good as I would have liked but the company is clear to claim you only get 6Gb of transfer per battery charge..... I was able to transfer close to 3 full 2GB cards per battery charge, which luckily was enough to get me through the day while traveling. I then charged it at night as I off loaded my last batch from my CF cards.I will only give it 3 stars for expectations because of the xD card issue and I was really hopping to get better battery life from it. Over the 4 days I uploaded over 4000 photos from my CF cards without issue. The xD cards when used were slower to load via adaptor than a straight CF card using more battery so I stopped using that method when I figured that out.For those who will use it with CF cards this is a good device to have just make sure you carry the AC power adaptor and charge it whenever possible.
Expertise: Semi Pro
Problems Encountered: The xD card slot read my 1GB Fuji brand xD card the first time. The second time it would not read it and gave me an error message. I tired an Olympus 1GB xD card with same effects. I popped in an old xD to CF card adaptor and it read my xd cards with out issue.
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Wolverine 6020
Items I Recommend: xD to CF card adaptor
