Readiris Pro 11 from IRIS is a professional OCR desktop solution to scan paper documents at high speed and to convert PDF and image files into fully indexed PDF files. It is designed to scan in and convert large volumes of paper and electronic documents with an unbeatable combination of speed and accuracy. Plus it is equipped with professional options allowing for automated document processing.

With Readiris Pro, you'll quickly and efficiently convert and index your paper documents into editable and searchable digital files that can also be segmented using various indicators such as blank pages or bar codes. Plus the software is capable of performing OCR in multiple languages and can recognize multiple font types and sizes while still maintaining high accuracy.

• Spectacular Speed and Accuracy: Get an editable document exactly identical to the original in record time (up to 1600 characters recognized/second) with over 99% recognition rate (on good quality documents the recognition rate goes up to 100%).

• Text Learning: If Readiris is unsure about a reading result, the doubtful character (or character string) is displayed with its parent word and the proposed solution is presented if you agree with or correct the proposed solution. Readiris saves the solution in the dictionary as sure. Future recognition will no longer require your intervention.

• Unique Handprinted Text Recognition: Equipped with the I.R.I.S. ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) engine, Readiris Pro reads formatted hand printed capital letters, figures or symbols, so scan of documents containing formatted manual notes are promptly recognized.

• Intelligent Page Analysis: Readiris Pro automatically identifies the texts, tables and graphics on the scanned document and perfectly reproduces them in the output file. It's even possible to choose your preferred paper format (A4, Letter, etc.).

• Extensive PDF Support and Creation: Convert PDF files to editable PDF, text PDF, or other text documents, or convert "read-only" PDF documents, then Generate PDF files with text placed over the image and you'll obtain the perfect archiving format with a nice on screen legibility and an optimized file size.

• Page Deskewing: The "Deskew Page" command straightens pages which were scanned at an angle for optimized OCR recognition accuracy.

• Text Formatting: When processing a document you can select how you want the recognition result to show in your new document including the ability to delineate body text, retain word and paragraph spacing, recognize and recreate editable tables - even recreate the source document with text blocks, tables, graphics, bulleted and number lists recreated in the same place and the word and paragraph formatting maintained across the recognition.

• Intuitive User Interface: In just a few clicks, the intuitive user interface lets you convert any document into an editable document in your favorite application while the status window gives you all the information you need about your scanned documents (source, resolution, times, image processing, etc) for easier cataloging. The User Interface also includes a set of Smart Tools to easily copy & paste text and graphic zones from Readiris to any application, print an overview of your scanned documents, or send the recognized document as an e-mail for fast and easy sharing. Furthermore, the OCR wizard offers a semi-automatic way of recognizing documents, and guides you through the OCR process, plus users can display the Readiris interface in one of the 6 available languages: English, French, Dutch, German, Italian, and Spanish.

• Supports Most Scanners and Digital Cameras: Readiris Pro supports all TWAIN compliant scanners and other image acquire devices, and supports digital cameras from Canon, Casio, Fuji, HP, Kodak, - in fact, all TIFF and JPEG formats generated by digital cameras are recognized.
