The DigiMatch 2x6 from Henry Engineering is an AES/EBU to S/PDIF interface and distribution amplifier designed for the purposes of converting between the two types of digital audio signals and distributing them to multiple outputs. It features single AES/EBU and S/PDIF inputs and three outputs for each format. Either input can feed all six of the outputs, creating four modes of operation, which are selected via the front panel.
In "convert" mode the AES/EBU input feeds the S/PDIF outputs while the S/PDIF input feed the AES/EBU outputs. In "DA-AES/EBU Only" mode the AES/EBU input feeds all of the outputs. "DA-S/PDIF Only" mode has the S/PDIF input feeding all six outputs. The "DA-Split" mode has each format's input being output through its own corresponding connectors.
Built-in DigiMatch circuitry corrects input levels that are out of tolerance. The AES/EBU connectors are transformer isolated and all of the outputs are short-circuit protected and can drive long cable lines without degrading the signal. All of these features packed into a 1/3 rack space unit make the DigiMatch a great choice for your digital audio conversion and distribution needs.
