The medium black water-repellent Advanced Tri Backpack M from Manfrotto holds a DSLR with a grip, an attached lens, four extra lenses, and a flash between rigid touch-fastened interior dividers. It will also accommodate an 11" laptop behind a divider in the top compartment. Interchangeable shoulder straps on the Tri Backpack allow it to be carried in three different ways; a right or left-handed sling, a dual shoulder harness, or in an "X" position. The backpack features a reversible quick-access panel to the main compartment, which allows you to reach your DSLR at your front when wearing the backpack as a sling. Additionally, there is a spacious top compartment for extra accessories, and a variety of interior and exterior pockets.

The Advanced Tri Backpack features a front tripod attachment. To secure your tripod, there are two included quick-release belts. One belt hooks through the two loops at the base of the backpack and then secures to the tripod's legs. Another belt secures the top of your tripod to the loop at the top front of the backpack. For extra protection from inclement weather, a detachable rain cover is included. The backpack can be carried by the padded grip handle at the top or transported like luggage, thanks to the nylon-webbed trolley strap at the back.

Have had a number of upper end bags over the years. Needed a relatively small and light back pack for trip to Europe and tried this instead of shoulder bags I have from Think Tank. Worked great. Had Nikon D800 with 24-70 attached, 16-35 f4, and 70-300 in main compartment. Nikon D7000 without lens, sb700 flash and batteries, charger, etc in top compartment. Worked great and was comfortable.

Love the build quality and look. It fits my 6D with grip and attached 24-70 w/o hood, 85, and chargers etc, no problem.

My 70-200 fits as well but only in the top compartment, not attached to the body. along with that I can fit 1 speedlight along side the lens.

The only drawback I can find, unfortunately was one of the main reasons I bought it. The straps are not comfortable at all. When tucking one strap in and using it as a sling you can feel it jabbing into your back, and the other one cuts into your neck. its a bit awkward.

The only comfortable way to wear it is with both straps as a backpack, and even for that the straps are just too thin and small to be supportive.

Its great to running around town and carrying a small kit, but for anything more than a few hours I end up using something different.

        Quality Bag, but...

Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Tri Backpack M (Medium):

Great bag. Quality zippers and materials. I would like afew more inside pockets for sd cards, filters, etc. Size is good for my needs... vacations, kids sports, and family activities. Room for my Nikon D7100, prime 35mm, 18-55mm, and 70-300mm, and also a pair of 10X50 binoculars in the top compartment. However, the body with 70-300 attached doesn't comfortably fit in camera section- bulges a bit. Also, straps could be more comfortable and a detachable sternum strap would've been nice for carrying as backpack.

Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Tri Backpack M (Medium):

I carry my D610 with 24/85 lens and can easily fit in my 28/300 Nikon lens, an 18-35 wide angle zoom and a prime. Plenty of space... A smaller format dslr can easily fit into upper compartment with a normal lens. The dividers that you move around to accommodate your gear are sturdy and well made, attach where you want them and stay there.
The pack stays nice and tight in shape, no flopping around, gives a real sense of sturdiness and ruggedness. Love it!

Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Tri Backpack M (Medium):

This bag is made very well. I love all of the features that it offers from the side pockets and the tablet sleeve and the ability to change it from a sling bag to a backpack. The one thing I will say is don't listen to the people that give this bag two stars based on its size. This bag is great if your stuff fits, if your stuff doesn't fit don't blame the bag cause you picked a bag that was to small for the stuff you wanted to carry. This bag holds my D5200 with 50mm attached, 18-55, 55-200, room for one more lens and then my filters and other accessories fit up top and the tripod attaches to the outside. This is a great bag for on the go shooting if you are not trying to bring every single ounce of equipment that you have ever owned.

First off was wayyyy to big, therefore camera bounced around all over the place. Other thing is that when you open the bag it completely opens so all your equipment falls out. Looks much smaller on site. Returned for Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 30i, which fits my GX7, 2 lenses, flash, etc like a glove!

Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Tri Backpack M (Medium):

This bag/backpack was purchased to carry a DSLR body with 18-35mm lens attached, along with a 70-200mm. The larger lens had no place to go. The top storage would accommodate ND filter system and other accessories nicely. The bag was well made and seemed very weatherproof. Camera storage was too small. I returned it.
