I have been buying stereo equipment for myself since 1972. I have owned so many different types and configurations of home entertainment equipment since then. I still have a Pioneer Amp /Receiver I bought in 1974 at 25 watts RMS, 100% Tube. My Son has been given this for his Hi-Fi set-up. I bought this amp/receiver at a whim. I love it. I am now in process of buying a new turntable, more vinyl, and will be going retro in my listening habits. However, I am and have always been on the cutting edge of Tech..so, I must say..I also so far, love this piece of equipment and have my iPOD plugged in and "rocking".
        Thanks,
        Dennis

The unit arrived as promised and was packed fairly well although I could hear a slight rattle when I took the box from the delivery person.
Other than the detachable A/C power cord, the unit was relatively easy to hook up - need to provide your own FM antenna. The power cord did not appear to 'seat' correctly despite considerable effort. There is no AM band on the tuner that I could access. The FM sensitivity is barely acceptable with poor selectivity. The analog tuning is ridiculous - tuning with a knob that has an imperceptible mark on it to try and line up with the FM freq. around the circumference. The markings are considerably off and it was very difficult to find my low-powered local station. DO NOT buy this expecting a decent tuner. There is no tuning feature on the remote.
As mentioned in a previous review, the lights are a bit over the top. The lights are placed in a way to seriously hinder reading the function button labels - I had to use a flashlight to see them.
As far as I can tell, the SD card reader reads files in the order they were added to the card. The only way to tell where you are on the card is if you know the song being played and have a list of what is on the card/drive. I suppose this method of play would work well for someone that wanted to load up a card & pay attention to the order in which the files were loaded. Would work well for throwing a bunch of files on a card for background music. It will play files loaded on a card with a directory/file structure but I have not taken the time to determine the order of play or how it advances from directory to directory.
Yes, the remote - - no power on/off button/capability; no volume mute; the volume control takes forever to produce a notable difference in the sound level; it has a button for EQ mode but no indication anywhere as to what the 'modes' are or what was selected - I could however distinguish a difference when I pushed the button for 3 different 'tones'; the fast forward & rewind work but there is no audio during these functions
The USB thumb drive seemed to work the same as the SD card.
I've not tried an mp3 player yet or any of the other (rear) inputs or the microphones.
The power seems sufficient and the distortion with a good mp3 file was not bad. Freq. response was acceptable
For less than 1/2 price on sale w/free shipping it is still a little less of a product than I was expecting. Had I paid much more it would have been returned.

Product worked fine. Has about 30 watts per ch. This was about what I expected. It has RCA outputs for sub and pre out for another amp. These are volume controled. Does not have an output for raw signal. No tape loop. Power meters are for input signal not power output. MP3 input usefull. Radio tuner control on knob only, no digital readout.
Used for bedroom stereo, not using surround speakers

This is one of the worst pieces of equipment I have ever purchased. The unit itself sounds like it is not grounded and makes a cracking sound when you insert a USB. The radio is very difficult to tune and makes cracking and popping sounds like an old tube radio. The lighting is over-done on the unit and makes it look very cheap. I have a lot of other recording equipment so am reasonably good at recording - however I tried 4-5 times and could not get a recording on this unit. The only thing I was able to get to work properly is playing tunes from a USB drive. I finally gave up and gave it to Goodwill.

All flash and no substance. From the fake VU meters and bright blue lights to the mediocre amplifier and even worse FM tuner, to the nasty acrid smell coming from the box that worsens when the unit heats up, this is less useful than a toy. I'd like to know how they measure the claimed 1000W of peak power, it produces less than the 80W receiver I wanted to replace it with.

In this day and age, with the technology we have, it's amazing this company can sell such a product.

Very durable and simple design for the price. I needed a simple way to play native mp3 music files in my shop without a lot of hassle. Using a set of 16Gb USB thumb drives, the unit can shuffle through the music with ease. Beware- the display will not allow for browsing or navigating the drives. This may be a deal-breaker for some.Very good power and sound quality.

                                        Thanks,
                                        Dennis
