The black, redesigned MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod from Manfrotto builds on the success and popularity of the previous 190 series with professional hardware and convenience features that make it even easier to use than its predecessor.

Set up is faster than ever with Manfrotto's Quick Power Lock System that allows you to completely extend the tripod legs with just one hand. Once set up you can use the MT190XPRO3's rapid center column in standard vertical mode or swing it into horizontal position like a boom with Manfrotto's 90° Column feature. Enlarged tabs on the individual leg angle selectors allow you to get down to only 3.6" (9.0 cm) for macro work with the column in horizontal mode. And once you're down there you can attach any of Manfrotto's flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors via the Easy Link plug built into the tripod's spider.

Convenience features include grippy, rubber leg warmers on two legs for cold or inclement weather and a bubble level that rotates so that you can see it easily regardless of the tripod's position. Finally, Manfrotto's insistence on form following function has yielded a tripod that you'll not only be happy to use but you'll be happy to be seen with, too.

Fast Setup with QPL
The Quick Power Lock (QPL) system is one of the most eye-catching and unique features of the redesigned 190. It is a strong, ultra fast, ergonomic locking system that allows for complete extension of the legs with one hand.
90° Column
One of the most innovative aspects of the 190 series is its compactness, which allows for easier portability. The redesigned patented 90° Column is accessible whenever you need it with simple one finger operation.
Easy Link Plug
The plug allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets.
Rotating Leveling Bubble
The bubble is easy to read, whatever the shape of the head or however the tripod is positioned. Just rotate it towards you for easy viewing.
Leg Angle Selectors
Each leg has user selection of 4 angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain. The selectors are manufactured according to most innovative ergonomic standards to prevent fingers and nails being trapped in the upper casting.
Manfrotto's Eye to Style and Design Detail
The entire shape of the tripod has been modified and made more manageable and stylish. The complete redesign of its functional elements shows a particular attention to aesthetics and details: the brand name, for example, appears in many sections of the new 190, including the two legwarmers made of comfortable rubber to provide a secure grip and prevent the conduction of heat and cold in extreme weather conditions.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

I was in the market so I grabbed this tripod which is the previous model in this class at $ vs the $ for the current model, plus it had a $ rebate. So I gained $ which almost covered the cost of the ball head I bought to go with it.

      My favorite tripod

      By John

      from San Antonio, texas

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

I have several Manfrotto tripods, but wanted one that was a little light. I do a lot of outdoor portraits and carry a lot of equipment with me, so when I can reduce the weight a little ill do it. I would love to have a composite tripod but it doesn't fit into my budget at this time. This Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 fits the bill for me....love it!!!!

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

I am now the proud owner of three Manfrotto tripods and one monopod. You can't go wrong with a Manfrotto. I'm especially impressed by this one! I bought it to dedicate to a recently purchased Gimbal support system for my Tamron 150-600mm. It is top notch quality and I especially like the leg locks. Pretty slick set up! Very solid and very stable!

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

Very versatile tripod. Not too heavy and feature rich. I couldn't justify another $ + for a carbon fiber one and I am not disappointed with my choice.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

I've had my tripod for about a month and I'm using it with Grip Action Ball Head 322RC2.I love how it holds the camera nice and steady and no movement. Using it right now for sunrise and sunset shots. I use my remote and get great shots. I have a Canon Rebel T3i and using Tamron 18-270mm lens. Still learning what all it is capable of doing. But so far it is a nice piece of equipment that I am happy to have on my NOW HAVE list. It is a bit heavy and I know I'm going to be loaded down if I hike very far in the back woods. Tripod & Ball head good 5#Bottom line. The tripod is well make and durable for my photo projects.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

Being a nature and wildlife photographer, I wanted something that was light weight and easy to use. I also had a budet to stick to and the carbon fibre model was out of my price range. For years I had been using (and replacing almost annually) what ever was the cheapest tripod at @ or @. This time I decided to get a pro level tripod and Manfrotto delivered the goods!Even though its aluminum, it comes in at about 4lbs, but when shoot with my Tamron 150-600mm lens attached to it, I feel secure knowing that the tripod will hold my gear. The horizontal column feature is a fantastic addition, is super easy to use and comes in handy when trying to get a macro shot that would usually have to be hand held and holds the gear securly enough to all but eliminate any shutter shake.Even set up with the long lens, the tripod is rock solid and doesnt have any of the shake that the big box store versions had.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

This is the 3rd tripod I have ever owned, and it's by far the best. I don't think the online product information does this tripod justice. It is very easy to adjust the legs in many ways. There are two extendable leg sections, and the releases are very easy to use. There are four set leg angles that click into place, but you can also adjust the legs at any angle between the clickable settings. You can even extend the legs so they lie flat on the ground. Each leg adjusts separately. Also, you can extend the vertical column straight up and then bend it over horizontally so your camera can be pointed straight down or straight up. The vertical column does not appear to be steady enough to use it in the vertical position; the purpose of the column is to bend it over to use your camera at a 90 degree angle. With the legs positioned flat on the ground and the column in the horizontal position, the camera can be positioned very low to the ground. There are rubber grips on two of the legs, which will be great on cold winter days. Other features: a built-in level; a hook to hang extra weight for additional stability or to attach a carrying strap; and an Easy Link socket, which is a female threaded socket in which to mount optional accessories, such as lighting accessories.

Comments about Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod:

I wanted a quality aluminum tripod to carry on short hikes and this tripod is the best for the money in the mid range tripods.

                        Pros:

                        - It is a manfrotto with quality parts

                        - I prefer the tabbed designed leg locks over the twist design leg locks

                        - The updated design is both pleasing to the eye as well as innovative

                        Cons:

                        - I bought this tripod before the bigger brother MT055 came out which is only slightly more expensive

                        - Center pole pivots on a plastic ring that looks flimsy (no issues, but the this plastic part does not seem to be a very robust part)

                        - This tripod is more expensive than similar brands with comparative features

                        Sum Up:

I wanted to upgrade to a nice tripod after previously wasting money on junk. This manfrotto seems to be of great quality. My only concern is the plastic bearing that the center post pivots on as this piece does not appear very robust. I have had no issues with this tripod and would recommend it to others looking for a quality tripod in the midrange price. If I were to buy again I would have stepped up to the bigger MT055 for added strength and height. Very happy with my purchase though.

I've only had this tripod for a couple of weeks and I love it. It's light enough to pack and sturdy enough to hold my gear steady. I find a new feature nearly every time I use it. The only thing it's missing is a hook on the bottom of the center column, but the release for the 90 degree feature is there so a hook can't be.
