The most notable feature of this quadcopter is its size, even with a prop-to-prop wingspan of just 5.75" it sill has room for a camera. To record video there is a MicroSD/MicroSDHC memory card slot below the "tail" section that is activated using a button just to the side of the card slot. Finally, a 3.7V, 380mAh lithium-polymer battery tucks away inside the body providing up to 7 minutes flying time.

The transmitter (TX) supports both Mode 1 and Mode 2 stick configurations. Mode 2 is typically preferred in the U.S. as many argue it more closely simulates actual aircraft controls, however some international users may be more accustomed to Mode 1.

FANTASTIC! Perfect Starter! Even for an 11 year old!

    Two things first...
    1) It does Record Audio! Even though some reviewers say it doesn't, it records mono audio at low level, you just need to boost the audio recorded, I did this in Final Cut Pro 7 with the Audio GAIN Filter.
    2) The Video is higher quality than what the manual and tech spec say, they say 720x240, but it actually is 720 x 480... though very high compression.

This product is excellent, for the price, a GREAT starter! It's actually surprising how easy it is to fly and pretty stable, actually very good, much better than a single blade chopper. I bought one for my 11 year old daughter, even though it says for 14 and older and she is a great flyer!

It's also surprisingly durable. Last year a bought a few of another companies single blade chopper from a large chain store and that one didn't make it through a day! Where these Hubsan don't crash and when we slam them into a wall (by accident), they have features that absorb the shock and come out undamaged! It's really quite amazing!

If you want to just get started with Aerial PhotoGraphy and flying these Drone type, Quad Choppers... this is the one to start with! It pretty much does everything the expensive ones do....

Though, keep in mind, it is very low priced and for that you get what you pay for. It is very stable in flight, within limits and the video quality is acceptable (it is 720x480, even though the guide says it's something like 720x240... it actually is 720x480, so it's better than what they say it is), though not a very high quality, highly compressed, about a VHS tape quality, usable, but if you blow up the video to HD, it is not so good. And the image is not too stable, but decent... it is really fun and could be used in some professional situations.

AND, there actually is sound recorded, though others have said there isn't, there actually is. It's mono and very low, you just need to turn it up! I did this in Final Cut Pro 7, using the audio "GAIN" filter.... all you pretty much here is the 4 motors whining, but it's pretty good! It actually does work and is in sync with flight and motor activity!

This is a fun quadcopter, but you have to practice a lot. It is not an easy flier at all. You have to practice and you will crash and damage the copter easily, so get extra propellers and put the prop cage on right away, when those props hit you while spinning it stings. Make sure to calibrate the copter the right way, you have to be patient. It is not really a toy. It is powerful and will fly very high and fast. You need to learn to control it or else it ends up on the roof, or in a tree.

I recently purchaced a hubsan x4 quadcopter at b&h everything was delivered within a few days. Everything was exactly as it looked as I i had seen and I received. All packaging was in great shape. Copter is truly awesome to fly even as little as it is it takes great video 720x480 HD and if had it up at least 200 feet and the video is breath taking. Thanks b&h this copter is the fun in the sun thing to do this summer. I can see about 20 miles away over hills and valleys on a clear day. Enough said buy one and you will see what birds see and be able to save it in HD.

I love this little quad it's probably the best mini quad out there. Price it right spot on,camera is excellent HD, flight time on the stock battery is great!! Worth buying and BH are terrific on the product, great delivery well packaged again can't beat the price. Reccomend getting at least two extra batteries as they to are cheap.
The little X4 quad flies really well and very stable, I bonked it a few times and it held up really well. All around a great buy for the price and a good beginer quad. I would say it beats some of the major brand named ones in quality and preformance in the mini quad class.

I purchased this little copter to train up before progressing to bigger copters. I've flow this and let friends fly it and this little copter is practically indestructible! It's been crashed numerous times and still keeps going! The most that's happened is a part snaps unloose and I just snap it back in place. The legs are designed to pop out of place in a hard landing in order to protect the frame from breaking. I'd definitely buy this product again! .... if I ever have to.

What a remarkable little gizmo. If you want something to entertain the family or just want to learn how to fly a quad copter this is a great way to start. Easy to learn, fun to fly. Like others, I do recommend getting at least one if not two extra batteries. Comes with a lightweight protective bumper. I do highly recommend using that too.

Comments about X4 H107C Quadcopter with Transmitter (Black/Red):

This is my fourth ready to fly (RTF) quadcopter, and I have to say it's a sturdy and fun little flyer! Having a transmitter with multiple flight modes allows a large leeway from beginner to intermediate and advanced (aerobatic) flight. Battery life is about 8-10 minutes, so I definitely recommend buying another battery or two!

Pros: Looks nice, built-in camera, flies well, 3 flight modes depending on skill/performance, can take a beating from crashes, comes with bumper and replacement props, ready to fly out of the box.

Cons: noisy (makes a high-pitched whine when motors are running), no USB port for video (you will need a card reader to download the videos), if you start in aerobatic mode you will crash often.

Bonus: The transmitter that comes with this will also control the Estes Proto X and give it the ability to enter aerobatics mode which is not available on the Estes transmitter! This transmitter is also much more comfortable in your hands and easier to use.

This is my second Hubsan x4. The first one is the H107L and I love it. This one (H107c) feels a little heavier and a little more sturdy and stable. I really like it and it's just a blast to fly. As for the camera it's not very good at all. That being said I wasn't expecting to much so I can't really complain about it. One thing to note: I bought this one because like I said I already have the H107L and I have spare motors and other parts. This one has different size motors so I won't be able to use them.

This was to be my "Training Drone", and I believe it to have been a good choice. There isn't anything that is automatic about it. It has to be "flown" and requires quite a bit of input from the "Pilot". But that is exactly what makes it a great first drone and one to learn on, in addition to the price being excellent.

I bought this drone for me and my nine year old son to learn how to fly. A lot of crushes in door, on the driveway and on the wet grass. No problems at all. The only parts I had to replace are propellers. I didn't use a camera yet. It's not very serious anyway, so I don't have a high expectations.Buy a lot of extra batteries and propellers.

I did not have really high expectations, frankly, given the low price but was pleasantly surprised. It's really fun and the learning-curve is not too steep.Like a real dummy though, on one of my first flights I crashed it into the swimming pool and it sank about 6' deep. I fished it out with a net and to my total shock, after drying in the sun it still worked!!!The only negatives I've noticed are (a) the video quality is not great so don't expect GoPro class HD for sure - it's 240p. (b) The instructions are not terribly clear and I had to re-read several times and mostly resort to trial-and-error. (c) Battery life is very short - get 2 or 3 extra batteries.I also highly recommend the optional propeller guard.

It does everything that it is supposed to. I bought this to practice and improve my flying ability before moving to a more expensive machine. Everything on the copter is tiny, but that helps improve performance. The video isn't great, the range isn't great, but at this price and this size, you can't get any better.

Bang for the buck fun is amazing for guys on this one. This little copter is more sophisticated than most might realize. This science behind it is complex.
Capable of very precise control and far & high traveling outdoors. Hundreds of feet! The skill required is not quickly mastered, but very rewarding when you do get it. Challenging! I'm still learning myself.
This is a great starter copter for this hobby because you will crash lots. Good idea to purchase the propeller guard. And think about extra batteries so you don't limit your practice to six minute periods.
It's the magic of flying under your control.
Check out youtube for some very well done footage.

The Hubsan X4 is GREAT! I have never owned a RC flying model and the Hubsan X4 is easy to get the hang of. The camera could use some work, but for entry level it works good, just make sure to use it in bright light. If you are new to quadcopters, be sure to order the blade guard, it will save you replacing props and damaging house hold items.

Comments about X4 H107C Quadcopter with Transmitter (Black/Red):
