I give B&A a great rating for shipping things nicely, safely, and pretty quickly.

The product itself was a bit less cool than I had hoped, but B&A were selling it at a great price, and I couldn't resist. I still recommend it as a fun tool for those on go... very neato. The Inkling receiver doesn't quite capture your pen strokes as cleanly as you might like, but hey... still really cool. As long as you don't go nuts with the pen strokes, you can do some cool stuff. My recommendation is to sketch out your drawings in pencil first, and then use the Inkling to draw over them. It's good for finishing those rough pencil lines, and in doing so, you'll have a nice inked page, and also a digital copy.

You might still need to touch up the digital copy a bit, but overall, this thing is a pretty brilliant piece of equipment. If you can get it for less than a hundo, then get it for sure!

I expected a lot more from Wacom. To get the pen to charge, I had to use a piece of cardboard to keep the spring from moving the pen with its two tiny gold contacts past the two pins of the charger. This appeared to be a no-tolerance design, and apparently Manufacturing wasn't up to the task. After that, when I did a quick drawing test, certain strokes were moved completely out of place when viewed on the PC. Maybe I just got a lemon, but it was totally unusable.

I'm so glad I bought this. I've been wanting an Inkling ever since they were released. The price at B&H was awesome. The product is axing. I've been sketching like crazy now that I don't have to scan my sketches.

If you are looking to take things that you write down and put them on your computer, this is for you. If you Youtube Inkling, you will find an amazing video of artwork going on the computer screen. However, I am a math teacher and was looking to work out problems for my students to see. Trying to do it using math software is very time consuming, but now I just write out my solution and I can share the work with my students on my website or through email.

I'm highly satisfied with the Wacom Inkling. I use it to draw still life and figures. I like the transferability of the drawing to Photoshop. I wish the size of the actual physical drawing were larger, but it can be blown up in Photoshop so it's not that much of a problem.

I use it to keep my note, not drawing. It is very good. I also like to see the writing sequence. It is almost great except there is no timestamp recording.

And the design is to the details which you can only find in Apple products!

Comments about Wacom Inkling Digital Sketch Pen:

I have used it twice so far. Keep in mind that the clip mustn't move once placed or your lines will get messed up. It's not so easy to get used to remembering on which layer you are without an actual indicator different than a light here or there. And also I still can't make it export into photoshop even though I installed the software provided, it gives an error (no option for vector so far). To be honest, could have been a lot simpler to set up, even after registering it it's still not working out and having to look for troubleshooting in forums is not what you want to do when get something shiny and new.

I had one of the earlier Intuos tablets which I enjoyed probably 10 years. I finally needed to upgrade to a new one since the it was no longer supported in the new Mavericks OS. I love the new tablet. It supports touch and pen use. It has all the bells and whistles and does everything that you expect from Wacom and more. These guys own the market for a reason, they make great products.

Comments about Wacom Inkling Digital Sketch Pen:

Ordered this at B&H at the best price ever. Good hardware but lacks good documentation and support from Wacom, for which Canada does not seem to exist as a country;o).Worse part: software, at least for OS X, it does not work well at all.Export to photoshop opens AE, export to AI do not work or trys to interprete text and ends up in a window full of coords. Had to export in .svg, which enabled me to use vectors... Inkling software lacks a few developments that would open many possibilities. It's obviously oriented to reproduce drawings, ok. But it tends to oversample, no option to simplify or close a path, so you endup with so many unused paths and points. Sincerely hope that Wacomes with a good update of Inkling's software for this nice quality hardware.

This is what has been lacking from tablets all along. With being able to draw and use ink on paper and have it be instantly put into Adobe Photoshop and / or Illustrator an artist can be 100X's more comfortable learning to transition into the digital world. For those that are familiar with it, it will save many steps, time and $.

How you feel about the Inkling is going to depend on how well you learn to use it. It is not going to be a first time success type of product. But, by carefully reading the documentation and taking the time to learn how to hold the pens as you write, successwill come.I use it with Inkscape to create elements for use in VideoScribe and I'm happy with the results. It allows us to work anywhere without being tethered to a computer. I love it.

Works okay. Sometimes it will miss a line or two because its very easy to accidentally block the sensor. SUPER easy setup. I think this is for graphic designers that find themselves sketching and having to rebuild a sketch in illustrator. This will shorten that process and give u a nice vector graph.

First you have at understand how cool the concept of this product is. You drawing what every you want with this pen and then the file can be opened as a Vector format, wow. The thought that pressure is and location of the pen is being recorded with respects to the storage device is cool. I'm not sure if it is technique or I just really need to work on my sketch but it is not perfect. How could it be, but it is really darn close. For the price it is amazing. I'm using it with Solidworks. I trace a pattern of a component that I have and then open the wpi file from the pen in Adobe Illustrator and then dwg it into SolidWorks. and there is my sketch to scale really for the CNC. Cool Wacom product.

It works as promised, but – The detail isn't fine but it's passable.- The desktop interface is a supremely wonky.- The paths created aren't strokes, but rather fills. On the upside, the design of the package itself is really smart.

The inkling works great when on the go, sketching ideas, studies or even quick doodles. For the price point I think it is a great tool for any artist. Will you use it all the time? Probably not, and no it won't replace your graphics tablet, but as a tool you can use on the go it is well worth it. Kinda like having a flash drive, tablet and sketchbook right in your pocket.
