The sky is distinctly toned with the clouds clearly contrasted against it. It is suitable for landscapes and nature scenes.

Comments about LEE Filters 4x4" Light Red #23A Polyester Filter for Black & White Film:

I am a big user of Lee resin and polyester 4x4 and 4x6 filters. I usually convert color prints to B&W. I purchased the 23a to try out shooting in B&W. A trial at [$] is cheap. however I use other lee polyester sets (conversion, ND Flor, ND grad-resin)and they work very well and last (handle w/ cloth). I trust B&H for their service and tech support

    For a poly filter...

Comments about LEE Filters 4x4" Light Red #23A Polyester Filter for Black & White Film:

For a polyester filter, it does the job. I accidentally ordered this thinking it was a resin filter and was disappointed when I got it, but it seems to do the trick. Light loss seems minimal. Obviously maintenance and keeping it from getting bent is the challenge with any flexible poly filter. As long as you have a 4x4 poly holder, this product works just fine.
