Record for Hours

You'll be able to capture notes, lectures, and more while still having room to store documents. The device also features a microSD slot with the potential to hold up to 32GB of additional memory.
Simple Mode
The Simple Mode supports beginners by having the recorder display only the necessary information in large font. It also limits the functions in the menu to those most frequently used. For advanced users, the normal mode with full functionality is recommended.
Built-In Stand
There's a built-in stand placed on the back of the recorder that is carefully designed to reduce any noise transmitted from the table while the recorder is resting on the surface. It works much like a kickstand and allows users to read the menu without having to look down at the recorder.
USB Connectivity for Email, Edit & Archive
USB connectivity allows high speed, mass storage of files for emailing or you can transfer and save files to your PC/Mac.
Multi-Format Recording & Playback
Record and playback audio files using MP3 or WMA formats.
Calendar Search Function
Audio files saved on the recorder are automatically marked with the date. Because files are displayed by the calendar format, you can quickly find the file you are looking for by the date of recording.
Variable Control Voice Actuator
Convenient Voice Activation is an extra benefit that saves time and energy by allowing you to automatically start and stop the recorder using your voice.
Scene Select Function
Wherever you are, whether it's a conference room, large hall, or at home dictating, the recorder's microphone will automatically adjust to capture the best sound depending on your setting.
Telephone Recording & Duplication for Scene Select
By simply selecting from the menu, you can set optimum recording settings according to the scenes. "Telephone Recording" and "Duplication" have been added as options that are available when the recorder is used in combination with accessories. This feature makes it possible to easily record telephone conversations or a duplicate from cassette a tape.
Portable USB Cable with a Strap
The recorder is bundled with a portable USB cable, which is compact and easy to store. You can attach the portable USB cable to the recorder using a strap. There's also has a place to store extra microSD cards.

Comments about Olympus 4GB VN-722PC Digital Voice Recorder:

I bought it to record radio and intercom communications in an airplane. It fulfills this task very well, all you need is a cable or cable+adapter to connect it to 1/4" "phone" socket in the cockpit.
Device is very easy to use (don't listen to people who say otherwise or complain about "complex" interface, you don't even need the manual to start recording, only to learn its advanced features).

Comments about Olympus 4GB VN-722PC Digital Voice Recorder:

I ordered the Olympus Digital Voice Recorder for use in language classes in a public school setting. They allow one teacher to record multiple students from multiple classes on one recorder. Recording is a breeze and the quality of the recording is excellent. The option to file the recordings in MP3 or WMV format for later use or reference is wonderful and the downloading of files could not be easier. It's like having a mobile language lab in your hand. Highly recommend.

Comments about Olympus 4GB VN-722PC Digital Voice Recorder:

Very easy to use and the voice quality is excellent. Also conveniently customizable. The one feature it lacks is a simple, one button way to get back to the beginning of a folder. If you have a hundred or more files in a folder and want to hear them in sequence from the beginning of the folder, the only way I found to do that is to use the calendar function and remember the date the first file was recorded. It takes several button pushes, and many more if you don't remember the date accurately. But it's better than pushing the backup button a hundred times.
