Comments about WD 8TB My Cloud EX2 2-Bay Personal Cloud Storage Server:

Very easy to set-up without the wizard. Had it running in just a few minutes. It is very quiet and cool. Started back-ups from two OSX computers without a hitch. Back-up of Windows 8 went without issue the next day. Still trying all the other capabilities but if you are looking for easy to use back-up this is it. I clicked other as platform since I use all three.

Comments about WD 8TB My Cloud EX2 2-Bay Personal Cloud Storage Server:

I use this for data backup and as a home video server. The 1st one had problems right away. After several phone calls to WD, they finally got me to level 2 support and they agreed that the box was defective. I logged on the B&H and got an RMA right away, plus a free return shipping label. B&H sent me a brand new replacement.
They new one seems to be working fine now, except for playing videos via DLNA to my Sony Bravia flat screen. It chokes right before playback. However, XBMC plays perfectly on both my Windows or Android players. The NAS is very responsive on my wireless network. 1280p videos play flawlessly via XBMC. Too bad the DLNA doesn't work for me.

B&H responded quickly and with no hassle with my DOA. That's why I buy most of my high ticket gear from them.
