The LNR300 16-Ch 3TB NVR Kit with 9 IP Cameras from Lorex gets your surveillance system started by providing you with a 16-channel Network Video Recorder (NVR), an eight-camera PoE switch, six bullet and three dome indoor/outdoor day/night cameras, and 100' of pre-terminated Cat5 cable for each camera. This NVR is specifically designed to work with the cameras and features pre-configured plug-and-play compatibility so the cameras and NVR work seamlessly together right out of the box. You can customize performance per-channel to tailor the system to your preferences and needs once it's up and running. The NVR records and displays up to 1080p resolution at 30fps per channel, and can simultaneously feed the video to the HDMI and VGA outputs for multiple monitor options. Recording mode and quality, image quality, frame rate, and all other camera settings are set individually for further customization.

While the NVR software is configured for 16 channels, the NVR itself only has eight PoE camera ports. In order to bring the other eight camera feeds into the NVR, an eight channel PoE Switch is included. Plug the ninth included camera into the PoE switch and connect the switch to the NVR. The seven additional camera ports on the switch will allow additional cameras to be added later, as needed. The switch also has a LAN Ethernet port for Internet connectivity. When connected to the Internet, the NVR can be accessed from any computer via most web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, or Chrome. Lorex also offers free apps for smartphones and tablets that offer mobile connectivity. View the live-feed, watch saved files, adjust display and recording settings, and add/remove/edit users.

The bullet and dome cameras have the same specifications, just in different housings. They are rated for indoor and outdoor use, so you can feel confident installing them wherever you need them. The housings are IP66 rated to be weather and dustproof, with cable pass-through mounts that eliminate hanging wires. Each camera is equipped with 30 IR LEDs and an automatic IR cut filter that give it a maximum night vision range of up to 150'. To help facilitate installation, each camera comes with 100' of pre-terminated Cat5 cable and a mounting kit.

Comments about Lorex LNR300 16-Ch 3TB NVR Kit with POE Switch and 9 IP Cameras:

As a small business owner, I need to have a clear view of things that go on inside my building. I couldn't have asked for better clarity than what I got with these Lorex cameras. As easy as plug and play. About a 15 minute internet installation. License plates and movements can be clearly seen with such high definition. I am very satisfied with my purchase, and will be acquiring more of these systems in near future.

Comments about Lorex LNR300 16-Ch 3TB NVR Kit with POE Switch and 9 IP Cameras:

The system is really well made and operate very well. The installation was surprising easy since it is POE cameras. Simple find the location where I wanted to mount them then plug-and-play. Giving the system 4-stars since the software for the NVR (network video recorder) does not support other cameras from other manufactures. Also, it does not support PTZ (pan tilt zoom) cameras, which is a total disappointment. Hopefully Lorex will upgrade their software so that the NVR can support a better variety of cameras. The fan on the NVR is not really that loud, but if you have it in a closet or in the same bedroom it can be quite difficult to sleep. So make sure you put the NVR in a place that is safe and not an annoyance with the low constant fan noise running.
