The enhanced aspect ratio is accompanied by an ultra high definition screen resolution of 3440 x 1440 at 60 Hz. The display also comes equipped with a 320 cd/m² brightness rating, and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio.

Setup and configuration of the 34UM95-P is simple as it comes equipped with two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort. You will also find two Thunderbolt ports on this monitor to daisy chain it to other compatible Thunderbolt devices. Once configured you can view this IPS display from nearly any angle as it supports 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles.

UltraWide 21:9 Aspect Ratio
With an UltraWide 21:9 aspect ratio movies and games become more immersive. In addition to multimedia playback, the UltraWide display makes it easy to view multiple documents at the same time, eliminating the need to flip back and forth between them.
Quad High Definition Display
The 3440 x 1440 UltraWide QHD display offers enhanced picture quality. Its pixel area is about 1.8 times larger than an UltraWide Full HD 21:9 monitor, and about 2.4 times larger than a Full HD 16:9 monitor. It provides an efficient environment in using Microsoft Office programs showing 47 columns and 63 rows in excel.

Disclaimer: 21:9 Screen or 3440 x 1440 (60 Hz) resolution may not be available depending on content, device, interface or graphic card
sRGB 99%
With over 99% coverage of the sRGB spectrum, this LG monitor is a great solution for professional photographers, graphic designers or anyone looking for highly accurate color.

Multitasking doesn't have to mean shuffling back and forth between windows. With a single click, the 4-Screen Split feature divides the screen into as many as four customizable segments, two-by-two allowing you to see four different windows at the same time.

Disclaimer: Screen Split software runs on Windows Vista/7/8 and Mac OS
Dual Linkup
The Dual Linkup feature allows two compatible portable devices--such as a computer, camera, phone, or Blu-ray player--to be connected to the monitor, and both can be viewed on the same screen simultaneously.
Thunderbolt
This monitor's Thunderbolt input/output port allows you to connect up to six compatible devices, moving data between them with enhanced speed. The two channels of 10-gigabits-per-second throughput in both directions are up to 20X faster than USB 2.0.

The DisplayPort digital video interface is used to connect a high-performance video source to a high-resolution monitor. With its advanced design, a DisplayPort cable can also be used to carry audio, USB signals and other data as well.
LED Backlighting
LG's LED backlighting delivers enhanced brightness and amazing image clarity. You'll see richer colors and deeper blacks too, and LEDs offer greater energy efficiency compared to conventional LCD monitors.
In-Plane Switching
IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology enhances the performance of liquid crystal displays. Response times are shortened, color reproduction is improved, and users can now view the screen at virtually any angle.

This LG monitor is designed to work with compatible calibration devices that take specific readings and guide you through precise adjustments of color, brightness and more.

I previously had Apple's Thunderbolt Display, but could never find a desk mount that was rated for the weight. At around 15 lbs, this is one of the finest monitors for the price, resolution, and real estate that I have seen. The fact that it has dual Thunderbolt ports is a huge plus for me too, personally, since all of my drives and audio interfaces utilize Thunderbolt connectivity.

If I had to say anything that wasn't praise - and I'm really stretching for something - it would be that I would love to see some company take on the ability to control brightness from the keyboard, especially if it appears to be marketed towards mac users. The menu/UI system for this monitor isn't any better or worse than any other monitor I've seen, but it would be nice to not need to go there at all...

    Buy it. Zero regrets.

Despite "Factory Calibration" my unit has serious regional banding in the right 60% of the panel, resembling full height grayscale bars. They're present even when set to an input with no signal. Make sure your video card will support the full resolution with an appropriate output (HDMI or Displayport); I had to upgrade. While the width is nice, I prefer my 30" for editing in Lightroom. If you shoot primarily landscape or edit wide aspect video, it may work great for you. But I do a mix of landscape and portrait and the vertical real estate is significantly less than the 30". I use a Spyder3 to calibrate all my monitors, and LG wants me to replace the driver with their custom one. Don't think it'll support the other monitors at the same time. I'll be returning this if B&H allows; as it was back-ordered, I'm outside the 30 day window from order date.

Love the product. I'm using it with a Macbook Pro laptop. No need to run dual-screens. Thunderbolt works great. The power brick is a bit of a disappointment but the cord is long enough you can probably hide it. The other down side is that it's so wide you will wish it's curved. The far edges feel a bit out of the normal plane or angle of view. Does not come with a Thunderbolt cable - so be sure to get one if you're going to use that I/O

Comments about LG 34UM95-P 34" Widescreen LED Backlit UltraWide IPS Monitor:

Even with what this cost, I have no buyers remorse at all. It's only been 3 days but I feel compelled to write my first B&H review about it.Once again B&H came through and it arrived next day. It took me 15 minutes to go from the shipping carton to turning it on. If you have been around technology for more than an hour, you will have no trouble setting this up. Before you can even get it out of the box, there is a warning about squeezing the screen. Don't do that as their little diagram explains exactly how to lift it out. Once the stand is attached (2 screws) you can sit back and just appreciate the beautiful design.I use...will use this monitor for Photoshop and Lightroom. The split screen software is functional and intuitive. User control of the monitor is with a little joystick underneath the front bezel. Some have complained about it yet I didn't give it a second thought. When I plugged my Spyder 4 Pro in to set up the calibration, the monitors software knew immediately what model it was and worked flawlessly together to easily set up the calibration. Some have mentioned light bleed due to the IPS tech, I haven't seen it. All pixels are just fine (at this point). Colors look great, the screen has great edge to edge sharpness.I almost went with the curved screen version and now that I have the regular flat screen, I think I would be kicking myself spending another $. I'm sure the curved screen is very immersive but the regular flat version is pretty darn immersive too. At the distance one would use this monitor, I don't think it would be noticeable and at more than 10 feet or so it's a moot point.I'm trying to think of what I don't like and I haven't come up with anything yet... Maybe it's like when you buy a new car, you are kind of in love with it and you want to keep that new car smell. That's how I feel about the 34UM95. So far it has exceeded my expectations, is beautiful to look at and makes me want to work with it.

Comments about LG 34UM95-P 34" Widescreen LED Backlit UltraWide IPS Monitor:

I work a lot with MS Office, often having to look at several slides/speadsheets/pages simultaneously. I have a 27" monitor but was looking for something larger to use as my main screen.
What can I say - this monitor is almost perfect. No dead pixels, impressive colors, the array of connections on the back, including essentially a 3.0 USB hub, the very stylish design. I can now view FOUR life-size A4/letter pages next to each other, and work aspects aside, the huge screen real estate, while at first unusual, is addictive.
Never going back to a smaller screen, or one with 'standard' aspect ration.

        The cons for me:
The screen can't be adjusted/tilted - for me that's not a problem, as sitting right in front of it my view is great, but it might be a deal-breaker for some. Also, the stand, while nice-looking, appears very flimsy - the entire screen essentially hangs on two little screws!! For me, this means that I can't clean the screen as frequently as I would like to, because in order to do that I unscrew the stand and lay the monitor flat on a sofa. Cleaning it, i.e. exerting pressure on the screen, when assembled is probably not a good idea, as is may break the screws/plastic connection with the stand in my view. Maybe I'm just over-careful.

If these aspects are not TOO important to you, and your priority is a very nice looking, large, and very wide screen with a super-high resolution, great colours, and plenty of connections, then this is very highly recommended, especially for this price.

Bought to use for designing homes in 3D using Revit. Absolutely the most stunning monitor I have used in 18 years of designing homes!

I plugged in the monitor using the Display Port, PERFECT right of the box, first time!

I thought about using 2 - 24" monitors but after my research on the internet & consulting with my AutoDesk reseller, I decided against that approach for 2 reasons.
              1. Revit isn't dual monitor friendly
              2. looking back and forth between 2 monitors and dragging the tiled windows back and forth just seemed like a bad idea.
WOW!! am I glad I made that decision.
IMPORTANT: for CADD users like me note the PIXEL PITCH on this monitor is .23...there are 1 or 2 other versions of this screen that are .31 ---anything above .24 or .25 is not recommended for CADD of any kind.

Comments about LG 34UM95-P 34" Widescreen LED Backlit UltraWide IPS Monitor:

I just upgraded my workstation to the new Mac Pro from previously being on the iMac. Being that I couldn't use my generation of iMac to use as an external monitor, I needed a new monitor for my workstation. I am a neat freak and love things to be super clean, sleek, organized, and consistent. I am a freelance video editor and love spreading out my visual workspace across multiple monitors. This monitor is insane! It accommodates the same amount of real estate as two screens which helps create less clutter on my desktop by minimizing the amount of wires coming out to power two separate monitors. I am extremely happy with the color representation of the monitor after I went through the calibration process on my computer. I like the fact it has built in speakers because when I first got my workstation I didn't have external speakers right away so it was good to know I can still get sound without having to wear headphones. I personally was trying to buy two of these monitors because then you would be incredibly set on screen space, but my 56" wide desk wouldn't hold the two! I still want a second monitor to use as a video preview display or for color scopes, but I have been using the single monitor and I don't feel my style being cramped.I feel if the screen was any wider it could get annoying trying to look across the entire screen, like I am always doing inside my editor, because it reaches the point that if you had two separate monitors, you would usually angle the second monitor inwards a bit so it is in your peripheral . With this monitor, it starts to feel like I want to angle the outer part inwards more and that is probably why LG made the curved version of this monitor.Anyways, being the price is under that of an Apple Display with so much more real estate and not to mention Thunderbolt 2 ports, it was a no brainer to pull the trigger on this monitor. I definitely am buying a second one and figuring out where I can mount it so I can have the best setup I have ever had!

I used to have the top-of-the-line UltraSharp 27" monitor from Dell. I am so happy I switched to this one. Not only is the screen real-estate fabulous, allowing running two major apps side by side, but the color rendition top-notch. I use the monitor a lot for picture editing with Lightroom mostly, and it is great.

                  Highly recommended.

In Windows, check your video card specs beforehand as you might have to upgrade it to take full advantage of the 3440x1440 native resolution.

Comments about LG 34UM95-P 34" Widescreen LED Backlit UltraWide IPS Monitor:

Wide window allows multi tasking on the same screen. Screen split option is an excellent feature and four horizontal split would be good option to add. This monitor could be perfect if it's 3" taller for split screens.
It'd be nice if monitor base supports the movement to up/down and side ways.

Comments about LG 34UM95-P 34" Widescreen LED Backlit UltraWide IPS Monitor:

This monitor is superior to apple thunderbolt display in many ways, especially in the display quality and color. I like the way it splits the screens. However, every time I split the screens, the left for my mac using thunderbolt, and the right for my tv using hdmi, the screens could not be adjusted to a proper resolution (like 1720x1440). This is extremely annoying since each screen is stretched. I hope LG can figure out ways to accomplish their awesome functions in easier ways (without referring to manuals).

I was tired of having two monitors in my studio and wanted to be able to have a true wide screen when working in Pro Tools.
This monitor is fantastic, really beautiful clear picture and I was able to achieve exactly what I wanted.

Comments about LG 34UM95-P 34" Widescreen LED Backlit UltraWide IPS Monitor:

I have had the LG34UM95-P that I purchased from B&H for 2 weeks now and great results. No bleed issues with screen. No dead pixels. And the picture quality is drop dead gorgeous. I have a legacy Mac Pro 1.1 connected to the LG via the ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card...and use an Accel mini-display to DisplayPort 1.2 adaptor cable that preserves the 3440 x 1440 resolution at 60 Hz. My legacy FCP 7 projects are located on this computer. The second computer connected to the same LG is a new Mac Pro 6.1 connected via TB cable. Also preserving the same resolution and refresh rate. I am currently working with the Mavericks OSX and am holding off on upgrading to Yosemite as there are some unresolved display issues...apparently as of this writing, Yosemite won't allow the full resolution 3440 x 1440, and although there is a workaround hack...I expect to see a fix for this very soon in a future Yosemite update. FCPX works incredibly well with all of this horizontal real estate. And when I am working with Microsoft Word docs, I can spread them across the screen without having to stack them upon each other. I have not yet calibrated the monitor, but to my eye it looks spot on. Whatever calibration I will do is almost certain to be minimal tweaking. For the FCPX "AV monitor" out, I have a separate dedicated display screen for that...an HP2475w for regular HD. LG has a new 4K monitor coming out that handles both flavors of 4K...and I will be checking that out as my next possible acquisition for a display screen at a higher resolution. What I love about this purchase is that both my legacy computer and newer computer feed directly into one display screen...that kind of consolidation makes my life a lot more comfortable! I can toggle between both and take my time as I migrate everything over to the newer computer.

I have mine mounted on an Ergotron LX which works great. The screen is nearly perfect with no backlight bleed and only minor IPS glow. The aspect ratio and resolution are great for productivity applications. There is a sleep bug with the panel. This is very annoying and I hope that it is eventually resolved, but I can live with it. My best advice would be to get the curved version. The screen is too wide to work much around the outside edges. I really think that the curve would help with this. Keep in mind that the curved version doesn't support the VESA 100 mounts which was a necessity for me.My panel is dated September 2014.

I bought this monitor to accompany the new 2014 Mac Mini. Over thunderbolt 2, it works flawlessly and in full resolution. Surface Pro 3 works great too. And the best part is that I can look at the Mac and Surface Pro 3 screens at the same time. Speakers in the monitor aren't all that great and the volume can't be controlled via OSX. Suggest buying a $ pair of speakers to connect to your Mac.

I Fell in love with this monitor and said this is the one for me.
