The black Advanced Travel Backpack from Manfrotto accommodates a DSLR with an attached lens, two additional lenses, a flash and accessories between touch-fastened dividers inside a modular main camera compartment. A dedicated rear pocket holds up to a 13" laptop, and an expandable side pocket holds a Manfrotto Befree Compact Travel Photo Tripod. For accessories, there is a spacious top storage area and multiple exterior and interior storage pockets.

To access your camera gear, there is a side access panel to quickly obtain your DSLR and lenses. The panel opens to reveal a variety of pockets on the inside for grabbing your accessories. In addition to the expandable side pocket, you can also secure a tripod to the front of the backpack. Also, when you don't need your camera gear, the main compartment divider can be removed to create one large spacious interior for your everyday travel items. To carry the backpack, there is a comfortably padded backpack harness as well as a top grip handle.

Bought as a secondary bag for smaller nature-type shots. I usually pack A LOT and use a rolling bag for most shoots, but needed a quick shoot bag. Like the side access - just sling it back over to your left, and you can get to what you need pretty quick. Stability straps, two ways to hold tripods (larger can be attached to rear, smaller can go in side pocket). Convenient size, I'm a medium woman, so it was good to find one that didn't dwarf me.

Former backpacks I'd experienced (and why I'm biased) would become unzipped as you walked, or were far too floppy or not protective enough. This bag solved those issues.

This pack is so nice to carry on your back instead of dragging or carrying a bag. The Manfrotto tripod combo works great together. Light weight and compact.

Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Travel Backpack:

I've used this backpack a few times for photo shoots. It appears to be exactly what I was looking for. Ir can be used as a regular backpack if you remove the dividers. This bag can be used to carry camera equipment and some personal items. I have found it convenient and comfortable to use. Usually I just carry 2 lenses and a camera plus the usual other possibly needed items: reflectors, filters etc. I'm also planning to use it when I travel to carry more equipment.
So far the only thing I don't like is that the belt is not sturdy and I'm a little concerned about how it will work when I carry more stuff.

Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Travel Backpack:

I purchased the backpack as a bundle with a Manfrotto BeFree Compact Travel Carbon Fiber Tripod. While the tripod is smaller than my other Manfrotto, it barely fits in the backpack. Inasmuch as it was advertised as being a set, I'm a bit disappointed in how difficult the tripod is to get into the backpack.

Comments about Manfrotto Advanced Travel Backpack:

Like many others, what started as a casual hobby resulted in an ever-growing collection of equipment (lenses, tripods, remote triggers, speedlights...).I had just picked up my first Canon L lens (EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM) and finally admitted that I had outgrown my LowePro Slingshot 102AW. The bag struggled to close with the new glass, and I was stuffing primes where they shouldn't be stuffed. All the equipment was too heavy for one shoulder, and hanging a tripod externally just made everything sit off balance. Worst of all, whenever I flew, I had to carry a backpack in addition to the SlingShot in order to bring my non-camera stuff.Enter the Advanced Travel Backpack. Here we have an incredibly thoughtful, practical design with durable construction and (relatively) good looks. I wore it all day to an F1 race without any fatigue, and even had room for some bottles of water, my tablet, and a container of earplugs. My favorite features:- Side zipper access to all your goodies without having to take the backpack off- Laptop slot that fits a 15" laptop, tablet, or folio- Lots of storage (I pack my 70D with 4 lenses, a speedlight, cables, extra batteries, chargers, with a lot of room for more)- Fits under seat on flights- Perfectly fits the Manfrotto BeFree Compact Travel Tripod- Exterior tripod mount for larger tripods/better balance- Durable construction- Comfortable straps and load distributionAfter 3 months of use, I only have a few minor complaints:- The included rain cover is separate from the bag; I liked the sewn-in rain cover on the SlingShots that you could just pull from the bottom and have it on in less than 5 seconds- No dedicated SD or CF pockets inside; all your cards will be floating around in one of the zippered pockets. Not a huge issue, but I miss the organization offered by the SlingShot.- Lots of straps that seem to hang off, though not unlike most backpacks these days.I purchased this bag as part of the rebate with the BeFree tripod and both were really designed with the traveling enthusiast in mind. I'm so glad that I can finally carry all my equipment plus the extra items I need on the plane or in the field!
