Comments about Alesis 3630 - Dual Mono/Stereo Compressor/Limiter:
The only reason I purchased this was to level out my cable TV's audio signal. i.e. The much louder commercial volumes than the television program volumes. Yes, it does kill the dynamics in movies, but thats what I need while the kids are going to sleep. It works well for my application and I have also used the 3630 in live sound, but I wouldn't use it for recording. Not bad for the price!

Comments about Alesis 3630 - Dual Mono/Stereo Compressor/Limiter:
Installed at the head end of a 525 room cable television system at county hospital. Placed after switcher and just before the modulator. I am getting good feedback that it is working well. We had large variations in sound levels from our 16 sources and this unit has made our sound come out at an steady level. I am running it 24 / 7. A great deal and very impressive for [$].

I'm using this in conjunction with a Behringer sound mixer and this works very well to import audion into my Decklink Studio import card. It prevents a lot of problems before it gets into Adobe Premiere Pro cs5.

Comments about Alesis 3630 - Dual Mono/Stereo Compressor/Limiter:
The 3630 Compressor is just a simple hardware compressor, but it packs a punch when it comes to it's sound and ease of use. I am a beginner when it comes to using hardware in my studio, this compressor works well on vocals it keeps them even but yet dynamic in a mix.
