I'm primarily a film photographer, and have used Ilford products after switching from Kodak about 6 years ago. (It was easier to find).
This film has very nice tone blacks in it. Shadows and foliage look almost like cutouts. It can get blown out in mid-day sky/objects, leaving a greyish low contrast tone. On the whole I'm very happy with the lack of grain and high contrast, especially with off-hour shooting. I've been using it primarily with my old Contessa and it's sharp Tessar lens (no filters). The combination of the two make it so far my favorite film/camera combo.
I'm still testing it's abilty to capture extended night shots, which it isn't as successful with as some of the old Kodak films I used to use like TMAX and Tri-X.

Comments about Ilford Delta-100 Professional 135-24 Black & White Print Film (ISO-100):
Film is very expensive these days and being a college student taking one or two film photography classes, you end up spending a lot on film. This film is the best for it's price, but, unlike other websites, B&H is very reliale and provides great customer service.

Comments about Ilford Delta-100 Professional 135-24 Black & White Print Film (ISO-100):
I generally use this product for fine art where the subject matter includes a lot of contrast and will benefit from the grain and feel of a true B&W film image. The developing is very easy and consistent using Ilford DDX and once dry the negative is scanned and post processed in photoshop. Printing is done either in-house on a wide format printer or sent to a professional lab depending on the end product.
The fine grain of Delta 100 allows you to produce great large prints and is a favorite of mine in both 35mm and 120MF.

I grab this film when I want artistic combination of contrast and clarity. Full range of gray tonal values with black blacks and white whites. Images glow, infused with emotion. I shoot a lot in the Sierras and Yosemite. This film captures dappled sunlight in the giant sequoia groves in high contrast lighting situations with good detail in the shadows and highlights. It is also an excellent choice for portraits and people shots when the subject is relatively stationary. If you have a tripod, this film works great rated at ASA 50.

As with all slow speed film you need to make sure there is enough light to adequately shoot. But when you find the perfect light (or create it) this film creates awesome pieces.

This film lives up to the hype. Great tone, blacks are rich and deep and images are very sharp, grain free. It makes using film a joy once again. I have yet to capture this look digitally.

My daughter is taking a film photography class in high school and this is the product that her teacher recommended. It costs about half what our local retailers are charging. Good value.

Comments about Ilford Delta-100 Professional 135-24 Black & White Print Film (ISO-100):
This film is great. I have used it many times before and have never had a problem with it. I'm a student and have tried quite a few different brands (whatever I can get my hands on usually) and this one is the winner! I have tried other brands that were not so accurate, I would have to adjust the way I would shoot and develop to get anything decent but with Ilford Delta-100 I have never had to do that. Great film.
