Tamron's unique construction allows you to take off and put back on the lenscap with a lenshood in the shooting position, and they are tight enough that they rarely fall off by accident like so many other supposed bargains will certainly do. Available in the typical sizes between 52mm and 82mm. If you put the function of something like a lenscap above other concerns then just try one-you won't regret it!

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
Inasmuch as all caps are low cost, it makes sense to go with the most useful, and most solidly built. These Tamron caps feature the blessed Snap-On cap that usually on comes with an OEM purchase. For the low price I have to live with the Tamron logo. I wish I had a Carl Zeiss logo. . .

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I have a Canon G1X to which I have added a filter and therefore needed a bigger lens cap. This works easily and is very secure, has never fallen off, more than I can say for the original cap that came with the camera. It probably cost more because of the Tamron label across the front, would have preferred a plain unmarked cap but this works very well so I will live with the label.

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I bought this to place on the end of a Kalt 52mm Metal Lens Hood on my new Canon 50mm f/1.8 II. This cap is great. It latches on securely and has large tabs to grip. Great product.

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
This cap stays in place lost one that came with camera when it fell into waterfall, so apprectiate this feature. Easy to put in place
Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I've only had it for a little bit now, but this lens cap is much better than the stock Canon lens caps. Easier to get on/off with a hood on, much more stable while in place. Great investment (and even if you end up not liking it for some reason, it only cost you a few bucks).

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I have replaced several of the lens caps on my Canon lenses with Tamron lens caps. The Tamron caps, with their center tabs, are much easier to access than the Canon caps, especially with a lens hood in place. The Tamron caps seem to be better built and hold firmly to the front element of the lens, even with other filters mounted on the lens.

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
Canon's top-of-the-line 18 x 50 Image Stabilized Binoculars come with rubber caps which fit over the eye cups, but do not include any caps for the front lens. If you are going to buy these binoculars, be sure to also order a pair of the Tamron 58mm lens caps as they are a perfect fit in both design and function. I think they are an absolute necessity to protect that high quality Canon glass.

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I found the original Canon cap to be difficult to get off and hard to get fully clicked on. In addition, it was nearly impossible to use when I used a lens hood. This Tamron cap is much easier. I still have to make sure it fully clicks on, but I can put it on/off easily even with the hood on.

Performs as advertised. Very well designed, with the tabs you squeeze near the center of the lens so a hood doesn't prevent you from being able to take it off.

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
My old 35mm Fujica's lenses were equipped with center-pinch style lens caps, which made removing the caps with lens hoods in place MUCH easier. Canon needs to produce high quality 'Canon' branded C/P lens caps too. (Of course they'd cost [$] and be an optional accessory, that's a given.)

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
Good desing. There is lot of space to put my fingers when a hood is fixed on the lens.
It hold also better than the Canon lens cap.
The only downside there are several places where dust can accumulate.. but this is the case of every other lens cap.

Comments about Tamron 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
What can I say, it works better than the caps that come with Canon lenses. Much easier to grip the outside tabs, and of course provides inside tabs so that you can still remove/attach it with a hood on. They are a little stiff when brand new, so it is a little hard to squeeze the center tabs, but they break in over time. I'll be buying them for all my lenses.

This is a great lens cap. You can detach it with the outside tabs or pinch the inside tabs. It fits my lenses even when the hood is on. Try one out and see.
