I use the MT-24EX Macro Twin Light Flash which directly fits the EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro, and MP-E 65mm lenses and adaptors are required to work with other lenses. The adaptor screws into the lens filter threads and the allowing the flash unit to be used on a wide variety of lens choices greatly increasing the versatility of the flash. This metal adaptor is of high quality and does exactly what it is supposed to do, ie creating a secure attachment point for the macro ring. I highly recommend this product.

Works as advertised
Use with my Sigma 150 and works perfect. Cost is my complaint. After spending a lot of money on a Canon macro flash these should have a smaller margin for Canon.

Comments about Canon 72C Macrolite Adapter:
This permits the use of Canon's macro flash units (built for 58mm lens front like the original 100mm macro lens) on lenses with 72mm fronts. Sadly, these expensive flashes don't fit the 180mm macro or the new 100mm IS macro lens. IMHO, Canon should throw in these rings for the macro flashes so they will fit their full range of macro lenses.

Comments about Canon 72C Macrolite Adapter:
Not much to say about this. Fits the lens perfectly and the Macrolite snaps on and off with ease.
My only issue is that you cannot use your lens cap with this adapter in place. That's why it's a 4 star, instead of a 5 star rating.

Comments about Canon 72C Macrolite Adapter:
This adapter works well on the 180mm macro lens with my twin flash. Pretty idiot proof. If you do lots of macro work you probably need one on each of your different sized lenses to get the best use of the flash. Good construction.

Not much to rate here since it is a simple product that works well. It works on both the Canon 180mm and Sigma 150mm F2.8 Macro lenses.

Comments about Canon 72C Macrolite Adapter:
This really adds to my arsenal of gear. With the ring the flashes are right there where the flash is needed. I have another product that has flexible arms, which makes it way to heavy and awkward. I can only use it for a little while before my arms are on fire, but with the ring it is only the ring weight.
The ring also always me to use it on other lenses for portrait shot.
In short a great little adapter to have.
