Comments about Smith-Victor RS10 10' Heavy Duty Aluminum Light Stand with 5/8 Top Mount:
Good and tall. Nice stand. Remember this isn't a 1-1/2" diameter light tree so be careful on it being top-heavy when loaded. (the stand, not you). Compact and portable.

Comments about Smith-Victor RS10 10' Heavy Duty Aluminum Light Stand with 5/8 Top Mount:
So far so good. It isn't heavy duty so it's mainly designed to hold light stuff...like speed lights and reflectors. I'm having no problems so far! Light to carry too, that's a plus.

Comments about Smith-Victor RS10 10' Heavy Duty Aluminum Light Stand with 5/8 Top Mount:
Extends to 9 1/2 feet, sturdy, easily adjustable and is surprisingly light weight. It has a 5/8-inch stud post and built-in 1/4x20 screw thread on top with plastic protector. Seems "elegant." I bough four of these and glad I chose this model for my location setups.

Comments about Smith-Victor RS10 10' Heavy Duty Aluminum Light Stand with 5/8 Top Mount:
It's built tough. Very smooth and holds position well. It's a little light if you're using some heavy equipment, but using for microphones as I am, it works extremely well and is a fraction of the cost of audio stands.

Comments about Smith-Victor RS10 10' Heavy Duty Aluminum Light Stand with 5/8 Top Mount:
Not too much to say, except that the stand is exactly as described. Nice and sturdy with wide enough legs. I use it with Lowell Totalamps or smaller.
Nice feature is that the legs spread wide enough that I can put a small sandbag across the bottom.

I use this stand to raise my Smith-Victor video light and it does the job. The 9 foot height is just right for my needs.
The stand is light weight and very flexible and mobile. Construction is sturdy enough for my needs.

Comments about Smith-Victor RS10 10' Heavy Duty Aluminum Light Stand with 5/8 Top Mount:
This is the best medium stand that I've found for the price. I'm using them to support 6lb. monolights with softboxes. So far I'm impressed, but I've only had them a short while and am interested to see how the section collars hold up.
