I use this adapter to mount a low-light integrating video camera to a telephoto lens that serves as the viewfinder for my astronomical telescope. Depending on your camera and lens you may find it necessary to use an extension tube to achieve proper focus, but it is far better for the adapter to be too short than to be too long. The only thing that would make the adapter better would be to have the provision for a 1/4-20 screw mount on the side.

Works fine. I use it to hold a 150 mm F/2 lens onto a scientific CCD. The adapter has a matte black finish, not polished metal like on the website, but this makes no difference in functionality. I'd recommend it.

The adapter provides usuability with our Nikon mount lenses. It is inexpensive and fits all or most Nikon lenses. The tab release is the only drawback about this unit. It hangs sometimes, but otherwise, it does the job for which the unit is designed for.
