The OP/TECH USA 1" Tripod Leg Wraps (Set of 3) (Black) are a lightweight and very durable polyethylene closed-cell foam pads and Cordura nylon leggings that fits most tripods or monopods. Each leg is individually wrapped to protect the legs against damage. The wrap gives added comfort against shoulder fatigue. It also keeps the cold metal legs away from the skin. The length can be customized to fit the legs by cutting the foam pads with a serrated knife

I bought the Op/Tech Tripod Leg Wraps to save my shoulder when carrying the tripod while hiking. I like to have the tripod with camera attached ready to shoot. The tripod is a Manfrotto 055MF3. The foam part of the leg wraps are really pipe wrap (think building supply store) with an adhesive strip to hold them closed. The wraps would, over time, separate at the seam. I ended up removing the covering, and wrapping the foam with duct tape, then putting the covers back on. What you are paying for is the covers and the convenience of having it all in one package. I would advise having some duct tape handy and use this at the beginning. They do make it comfortable to carry over your shoulder.

This is a useful product. It covers the legs of the tripod so that they don't get cold and are softer on your shoulder. You attach the pads with adhesive and cover them with cloth sleeves. I'm not sure how long the adhesive will wear, but so far, so good. I am happy with the product.
