A speed ring is required and not included with this unit. Remember to get the best type of speed ring for the light you are using. If you plan on using it with multiple lights we recommend the adjustable speed ring.
The Large Super Pro Plus is designed for use with a strobe. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, the Large Super Pro Plus with white interior is ideal for work where maximum softening of flash is desired. The light quality from this softbox will be softer than that produced by a Super Pro Plus with silver interior.
The "Plus" designation of this softbox means the front face of the softbox is removable. Chimera makes different strengths of diffusion material for front face applications. The softbox comes with a one stop diffuser, but a 1/2 or 1/4 grid cloth can be purchased separately. These would allow more light transmission and help to make the light more specular, or "less soft."
- Ideal for very soft lighting of full length portraits of 2 or 3 adults.
- Recessed front controls light spill and allows attachment of an optional fabric grid.
- Required Speed (mounting) Rings are available separately for many manufacturers' strobes.

Finally broke down and bought this softbox and
am glad I did. At last, a chimera that not only
throws excellent light but is also well built.
Requires lest space than you would expect.
A grid is almost necessary unless you just want
to flood a LARGE area with light.
