I got this bag for my 'strobist' set-up. I can easily fit three lightstands, my softbox, three umbrellas, a reflector/holder and my vivitar 283/PW set-up. There is still plenty of room.

This bag has no real padding, but it is really not intended to. If you wanted a padded case, look at a system case. If you are looking for a lightweight case to carry your light stands and gear at a good price, look here.

One thing to keep in mind-this is a very long bag. Make sure you realize how long it is-there are other bags that are not as long

it's hard to say its a bad product. It does not cost much and for a starter that needs to transport a couple of stands and some small stuff its great. but if you carry heavier stuff close your eyes and spend the money on a real bag. you can pack it with 6-7 stands if needed, there is enough space! but the bag won't hold them long. especially not if used every day.
the shoulder straps are worth nothing: when heavy they get loose.
if you plan to carry heavy stuff (you can if you want, there is enough room!) then put at least a wood panel on the bottom. that way the bag won't flex and won't get ripped open by your equipment.

I would buy it again IF I don't have the money for a real bag.

It's very roomy, but the stitching doesn't seem to be that sturdy. I might have had a defective one, only used it lightly once and I'm noticing a separation in a seam.

I bought this bag to hold my misc video equipment for travel and on location productions. I was happy with the zipper construction and durability of the material for what I paid for it. This bag held my Sachtler Ace tripod, One 9 foot aluminum light stand, Two 8 foot light stands, a boom pole and mic cables. I saw the baggage handlers drop it onto to tarmac many times and still no rips or tears.

I was looking for a bag to carry my long modifiers (Westcott 7 foot umbrella and Westcott Octa Orb).
I had to try by myself at the store before buying, as I had three options and wasn't sure how my modifiers will fit.
The good things about ths bag is that the 7 foot umbrella fits nicely and you have good space for more modifiers and have other pockets too!
Also this was the best price although the quality is great.
I am really satisfied with this bag.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:

I am a professional photographer and have been in the business for 14 years. This stand bag is great! I carry 4 13' stands on 13' boom, three smaller stands, a floor stand and two umbrellas in the side pocket.

I did have an issue with one of the 4 bags. There is padding in the ends and for some reason it has fallen out. I have used many other styles of stand bags and even though I have had this one issue, they are the best out there. The bag that is ripped and lost the padding is 5 years old.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:

This bag is long enough to carry my Manfrotto 12-foot light stands and some medium and large soft boxes. It will easily handle 4 light stands in the main compartment. The side compartment is shorter, and is a nice spot for umbrellas and other light modifiers, though it's not quite long enough for some of my softboxes (but they fit in the main compartment.)

The fabric and the construction are about what I expected based on the price -- this isn't high end gear, but it gets the job done.

Only that its well thought out, the perfect size, well made. Its full of light stands, mic stands, reflector supports and has a great side pocket that is filling up with small hardware we use on video shoots.

I've been searching for a suitable gear bag for my 13' light stands, at a reasonable price, for a long time. This bag fits the bill, perfectly. I packed it yesterday: 2 13' light stands, 2 8' light stands, 1 monopod, 3 large umbrellas, 1 3x4 softbox, 1 collapsible stripbox, 2 AB 800's, 2 small slave lights, battery pack, extra battery, bag of assorted pocket wizards and other remotes, honeycomb filters, and I still have a little room for a few extra goodies. If I left out my two shorter stands I would be able to pack my 12' background system as well.(minus the background cloth)

I now have everything I need, and more, in one bag, instead of a trunk full of bags and boxes

As for any problems with zippers that others are reporting aren't readily apparent to me at this time. They seem ok and the pulls are substantial.

Bought this for a shoot where i knew i was going to have to walk quite a bit and it paid off. Makes it so much easier to carry multiple stands at 1 time. I wanted to get the larger size but all the larger ones are unavailable, which leaves me to, this is the biggest size i could get and i am very happy with the product.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Outbound Bag:

This bag is exactly what I wanted. It is well made for a $50-ish bag and it hold my largest Manfrotto boom light stands plus my huge Octa large softbox and some other stuff. I am sure I could stuff a couple more smaller light stands in there as well. Handles, shoulder strap and side pocket are all great. That side pocket will hold smaller light stands or large-ish modifiers.

No, it's not padded, but it works fine. Don't expect a $300 bag, duh. But I would say expect an $80 to $120 bag even though it costs much less. If you are hard on your stuff or really want a padded bag, maybe look elsewhere. If you take decent care of your stuff and want a durable back to carry and organize it, give this one a shot. I like it and would buy it again.

One thing, not bad, just curious. One side is made of different material. The only reason I can figure for this is that it is the side that would rub against your leg as you carry the bag, and therefore that side is smoother material for less fritcion as your leg rubs against it. Who knows?

This bag has no padding, but that is what I want - more space for my gear. Roomy side pocket holds two large softboxes, main compartment holds three heavy-duty lightstands, two large halfdomes plus an extra-large softbox. There is even room for a 6x12 black velvet fabric as well. Zippers are strong. I like this bag. It fits nicely in my Accord trunk.
