The B+W 52mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. They feature a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Comments about B+W 52mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter:
I bought this mainly for protection of my lens. While it's not an expensive lens, I'm not made of money and would rather an inexpensive filter get scratched than have to replace a lens.

Comments about B+W 52mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter:
In the recent past I have been replacing all my lens UV protectors with B+W filters. Previously, I had a hodgepodge of inexpensive filters, with a few "decent" ones. The decision to change all to B+W comes from the fact these are made with the best quality optical glass. Now, I have no image differences caused by UV filters. All but two of my lenses are "L" series Canon lenses, and it seemed wrong to cap them with cheap protector lenses. And the quality shows in the images. This 52mm UV-Haze was purchased for the Canon 40mm Pancake lens.

Comments about B+W 52mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter:
Purchased this filter to protect front lens element and perform traditional UV filtering function. Selection of this particular model was based on favorable user reviews, past experience with the brand and relatively low price. I am very happy with my choice.
