Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Macro Adaptall Lens (Mount Required):

This is my portrait and closeup lens on full frame 35mm film and tele/macro on APSC digital.
Very nice mechanism yet very lightweight package.
Sharpness and colour are all that one could ask for.
It couples well for open aperture metering on my film cameras and works even more brilliantly on my Sony Alpha Digital(Pentax would also) which has in body stabilization - be it with stop down viewing and camera auto shutter exposure.
Cannot name a fault - excellent as designed.

Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Macro Adaptall Lens (Mount Required):

Aside from this lenses being tack sharp and 1:1 mag, it is small and light and with an adapter fits any camera. For serious closeup work autofocus often just gets in the way while precise work is done with manual focus and moving the camera/lens combo in and out. Bokeh is smooth and creamy

I use this on both my Fuji XE1 Mirrorless camera and Nikon D300. Handholding is a pleasure with my mirrorless compared to my former Sigma 150mm f/2.8 with my Nikon which was better used on a tripod.

The front element is deeply recessed so no need for a hood as it is well protected from bumps and flare is not a problem at all. Also, this lens has NO hot spots, which makes it great for IR shooting with a R72 IR filter.

Wonderful lens for macro and portraits.

The Telephoto SP 90 mm f/2.8 Macros Lens to shoot flowers using UV light. I purchased a UV filter that fits perfectly on this lens. This lens is light weight and travels well. Great lens!
