Comments about Chimera Speed Ring for Lumedyne, Quantum, Sunpak 120J:
Purchased this item to mount my Quantum T4d and T5d-R heads into my Chimera soft boxes. They work like a charm. Simply mount the ring on a light stand to take the stress off of the flash head, mount the soft box onto the speeding and slide the flash head into the slot for the bulb and tighten. Because the light stand is supporting the soft box and the speeding, there is little or no weight that the flash head has to support other than its own weight. Quick, easy and very clean. Will be purchasing additional items as backups and for additional heads. As a location shooter, it is light and easy to carry.
Without a doubt, I would recommend this item.

Comments about Chimera Speed Ring for Lumedyne, Quantum, Sunpak 120J:
I recently bought this speedring and I absolutely adore it. I own the small softbox that Quantum itself makes, but I feel that the Quantum softbox is too small and doesn't diffuse the light enough: the light is too specular. But, with this speedring, I pop a Chimera XS softbox onto my Quantum 5dR and get amazing soft light. This has revolutionized the use of my 5dR, which up until now I had mainly used as a haair light or kicker light when doing outdoor portraits. Now, I'm using the Quantum more and more, with the Chimera softbox, for senior and couples portraits. I am very pleased!

Comments about Chimera Speed Ring for Lumedyne, Quantum, Sunpak 120J:
a great speed ring for quantum Q-flash. i use this ring in the studio and it works like a charm. one caution that should not be overlooked is that the Q-flash is not built to withstand a heavy softlight, simply because the Q-flash is not a strobe monolight design. no problem with this product.
