    Amazing

    By Tom

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

I was so happy to find that someone could make 620 cameras useable again. Ive had a few old Kodak cameras sitting on the shelf and finally found this. It is wonderfully crisp on the 120 format film as well. If you feel nostalgic and want to visit older cameras, pick it up.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

My roots in photography go back to 35mm B&W Tri X. I am very happy to find Kodak and B&H still supply this great film. I use this in my dad's 1962 Kodak Duaflex IV camera and am thrilled to see the wonderful results. The film has great exposure latitude to make up for the age of the camera and the grain - love grain in my B&W film. Helps to give that classic film look. Great for art photography.

      Worked great!

      By Jimnest

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

This worked great in my old Kodak Tourist camera. The only negative I can mention is that it is quite a bit more expensive than a roll of 120 (which is really all it is).

      By Trinity

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

This roll is amazing because it's the size of 120mm, but the spool is a different size. It's very convenient, wonderful product. I recommend it!

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

I shot a roll with my Argus Super 75. Despite all the images being blurry (probably a lens defect) the color and tonal range seemed good. I was impressed with the film's ability to render highlight and shadow.

Note that the supplied 620 spool is plastic and not metal.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

I've been using the Tri-X on and off for a few years now and it is still my film of choice for shooting black and white. You get that great grain-textured feel every time!

Great film to use in my Brownie Reflex 20. Beautiful quality photos with little fuss.

The Brownie uses a 620 film, which is actually 120 film on different sized spool. B&H has done a wonderful job of keeping a good product in mint condition.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

I just found an old Kodak Tourist 620 Camera that had been sitting in my closet for years, only to realize that as great as this camera is, I might not be able to find film for it. Well lucky for me, B&H is not too far from me, and when I went there to see if they had 620 film they sure did. The fact that 120 & 620 are the same size helps, and the 620 they sell is just actually 120 film respooled onto a 620 core. I shot 2 rolls of TriX 620 and it came out great. Thanks to B&H, this old camera can now be used again and again.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

It's Tri-X B&W film, one of the greatest films of all time. Used it in my dad's old Kodak camera and the negs were great - good tonal range, sharp focus, medium grain.

This was my first experience with Tri-X, although I have used other B&W films. I used it in an old Kodak Brownie that belonged to my dad when he was young. There's not much in the way of exposure control on that camera, so I was a little suppressed to see the negatives come out in such great condition. This is fairly expensive film so I won't be using it often, but it works great!

I use this film in an old 620 Kodak Vollenda camera that used to belong to my grandfather during WWII and I love being able to take pictures with the camera he used in France during that time period.
The film and camera work good for considering the age of the camera, landscape and portrait both come out well.

This film works just great on my Kodak Junior Six-20. I can only recommend it to anyone working with old cameras.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

Theres really nothing i could say about Tri-X that hasn't been said. Its a great versatile black and white film with good latitude and a medium to high level of grain. In this size though, its almost negligible.

The real great hing about this one though is that its 620!!! Thats right you can get out your old 620 camera and shoot in it with this. I wouldn't suggest bulking up on dozens of rolls of this as its fairly expensive, but go ahead and get two rolls and use them to re-spool rolls of 120 onto the reels. Its less hassle than searching certain auction sites for reels, and you get some film with it.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (620 Roll Film):

I got this film to test out this old camera my mom had sitting on the shelf. The camera, a Jiffy Kodak Series II 620, is so basic, all it really has is a lever for the shutter and a couple of reflective viewfinders.

Using ISO 400, This film is very forgiving when shot outside during the day in full light and slight shade. Nice tonal range very smooth with very minimal film grain.

I had them printed with a matte finish and they look great.

I have two Kodak Monitor six-20's and have been re-spooling my film from 120 to 620 for years. I never thought to see over-the-counter 620 film again. Here it is! And not some obscure eastern European film, but the world's best film - TriX! Amazing! Of course, there should be some charge for re-spooling. Takes me about 10 mins/roll. [...]
