They seem expensive but they are much sturdier than the cheaper boxes so they stack well. The outside wipes clean with a damp rag (I don't know about you, but my studio gets pretty dusty.)

          Comments about Century Archival Storage Century Box #1124 Clamshell - 20 x 24 x 2":

As an artist with limited space to work with in Manhattan, I need a place where I can safely place and store artworks that I am producing on a daily basis. I also use Century boxes in other sizes and besides using them for artworks I find they help me to neatly and compactly organize my indoor studio and materials that I use. They stack well too.

If and when I need to present my artworks to others, I think these boxes will also be very useful for that purpose as well.

Two things about purchasing this specific item from B&H - I have ordered this item twice from B&H and it has always arrived very promptly (faster than I would even expect) and in excellent condition. Secondly, they have the best price I've seen online for this brand and item.

I store my 20x24 archival prints in this box and the fit is perfect. It is light weight but strong and relatively easy to carry to locations for viewing. The clamshell design allows me to transfer prints from one side to the other when viewing and that makes for an efficient, neat and professional way to show my work. It is an affordable and valuable tool for storing and presenting any serious art work.

              Comments about Century Archival Storage Century Box #1124 Clamshell - 20 x 24 x 2":

I've bought a number of Century Boxes over the hears, using them to store various forms of vintage photography. In this case, needing a 20" x 24" box I specifically bought this rather than one of the cheaper archival boxes because even in the large size it is stiff and solid. After shopping around the B&H price was simply amazing, making it a particularly good value. Finally, I was a little nervous that something this large would get squashed in shipping, but B&H packed it very conservatively.

My matted 13x19" prints fit perfectly into this size box.
I own several in different sizes for storing and occasionally for transporting my work.
The only thing I don't like about these boxes is they do not have a clasp
for keeping them securely closed when transporting. However this is a small problem, easily fixed with tape, string, or a webbed strap.
All in all they do what they are made to do, and I recommend them.
