almost great.
works. barely. the knob heads on the screws aren't big enough due to the small clearances of the too small joints. leaves me feeling unsure of my camera and lens.

Works in a pinch, but wouldn't trust it to leave my camera with unattended.

Comments about High Sierra Clampette - Camera Clamp Mount:
Used two of these for industrial vision system testing. Allows for easy adjustable solid mounting in an industrial environment. Made in the USA and comes with storage cases. They are not metal as I first thought but for our testing purposes, you will not notice.

Comments about High Sierra Clampette - Camera Clamp Mount:
This superb little camera clamp is ideal for backpacking and travel. It consists of an aluminum C clamp with metal knobs, and is very well made. It is incredibly light weight, yet strong enough to hold a DSLR. It's also made in the USA. Most of the other small camera clamps out there are cheap plastic. I own two old German camera clamps made by ROWI, that are all metal and very well made. This clamp compares well to them, but is smaller and lighter in weight. The clampette is now my preferred choice for all backpacking and airline travel.

Comments about High Sierra Clampette - Camera Clamp Mount:
This is a very interesting device. It is very small (the jaw opening is a shade over 1.5 inches). However, it is solidly made of cast aluminum and can easily hold a small DSLR. The grip when properly tightened is very firm and the neoprene pads do not allow any slippage. A really compact and useful gadget. Highly recommended.

Comments about High Sierra Clampette - Camera Clamp Mount:
I like that it was very inexpensive for a very useful and mutli-applicable product. I'm using it right now to hook a video camera up to a complex arm mount that I would have had to complete dis and reassmeble if I hadn't had this product to simply clamp on the the arm. Also very sturdy for heavy equipment.
