Comments about Sony K-1314 2 Passive Antennas:

Sony are extraordinary vague as to what frequency block these aerials are designed for. I purchased them as back up for my existing DWR-S02 slot-in receiver (Block 30/40, 566-638Mhz) which I use for a camera link. Though the bend in the aerial makes it difficult to tell whether these are either exactly the same length as the originals certainly they are no more than 1 or 2 or millimetres different (if anything at all). During testing they have worked flawlessly & furthermore cameraman have indicated they much prefer them to the strait aerials as they:

      a) Fit into tight camera boxes without having to be removed, the straight aerials often stick up too far.
      b) They are far less prone to being bumped & damaged.
      c) Personally I much prefer them to using right angle BNC adapters with the original aerials as it takes one less connector out of the equation, one less margin for error.

These appear to be the ONLY aerials of this type (angled BNC) that Sony make. If you are on Block 30/40 then happy days. If you are on a higher frequency these will still work but you will likely pick up a bit more interference (normally you need a shorter aerial), but I wouldn't be overly concerned as the receiver will normally filter most of this out. If you are are on a lower frequency, say the 14-24 Block, this is where you will run into problems. I would not recommend these aerials on the lower frequencies blocks as these aerials will simply not be able to properly pick up the low frequency signals.

Comments about Sony K-1314 2 Passive Antennas:

Very useful. Righ angle with flexible antenna good for the right situation. Useful addition. I always seem to loose an antenna here and there and the system goes down without them, so I suggest carrying extras.
