The Dalite Deluxe Background Stand is lightweight, yet sturdy enough to support 3 rolls of paper or cloth 9 feet wide, or 1 roll of paper or cloth 12 feet wide.
Its maximum height is almost 10 feet.
For extra safety -- weight, or sandbags are available as accessories to secure the setup around active children.
And don't forget a clamp or two, to secure your roll of paper, or to drape your cloth background more creatively.

This is a solid stand-- easy to set up and use. It's wonderful having multiple backgrounds ready in my studio. If you are upgrading from the single bar model, you do not need to buy this. The legs and crossbar are the same in both models. You just need to purchase additional crossbars and holders. Check out the Da-Lite website for details.

easy to use for one person
easy to assemble for one person. is a bit flimsy with 3 9' rolls, but sand bags did the trick.

Comments about Da-Lite Background Stand System:
Terrible design. With three large rolls of paper, this thing would topple over easily. I didn't like the design either. The way it tightened up was impossible for me to do myself and I think there are several design flaws. I sent it back.

I haven't gotten this fully loaded yet because I haven't filled my sand bags but so far I believe it will do exactly what I need.

Comments about Da-Lite Background Stand System:
I would not recommend. I purchased to be able to use for three different backdrops, but with only one bar used the stand can hardly handle it. It should be able to extend to sizes mentioned and not feel like it's going to tip over on the customer, but seems tipsy. tightening screws are very ackward too.

Comments about Da-Lite Background Stand System:
This stand worked out great. Very light and easy to set-up. I have 3 muslin backdrops on it and with sandbags it seems to hold up just fine. Perfect stand for a great price.
My only problem with it is I wish it went just a bit higher to compensate for the fact that the 2 lower bars can't go as high as the top one.

Comments about Da-Lite Background Stand System:
Overall a great product. Assembly directions were not included but if you are familiar with backdrop systems then it's a pretty easy one to figure out.
I have this displayed permanently in a studio with three rolls of paper. I don't have it grounded with wire or sand bags due to its orientation in the room. But I would suggest it if you have it located in a high traffic area.
It would be a quick break-down if you are looking for a semi-portable system. The entire system is lightweight enough to carry about. For the price I will recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and easy studio solution.

Comments about Da-Lite Background Stand System:
Great stand for the price. My only concern is it feels very top heavy with 3 drops on it. I added weights to the bottom which made it more stable feeling. I expect it to feel top heavy but it seemed even more so than my old stand which was one pole across that I would attach 3 backdrops to all the time. I wanted this one to be able to have 3 rolls of paper drops on.

Very practical configuration for our product photography room. The stand holds three different color rolls of background paper which is very convenient. Well-built, easy no-tools set-up and adjustment.

Comments about Da-Lite Background Stand System:
Great for my home studio setup. I've mounted muslin and a roll of paper simultaneously with no problems. I would recommend sand bags for piece of mind. I do wish I had the ability to lock the rods in the contracted position for ease of transport. You need to be careful when moving the rods. They may expand and hit something if not held right.

Comments about Da-Lite Background Stand System:
Good for multiple backdrops. easily removed and swapped around. only has 2 vertical sections making the collapsed length 5', so portability is limited, but not impossible. Also, having just 2 sections makes the unit more rigid and sturdy. Little things make the difference to me. The cross bar slots are elongated. If you have ever tried to raise a backdrop stand that has a round hole, you know it will bend your post or won't go down when at an angle. This unit allows me to lower each side without binding.

Very convenient for small home studio. Not a hassle to take down if need to. Definitely need at least two weights on each support. I'm just starting out and feel that I got the best value for my money.
