Domke J-Series Adjustable Main Compartment Insert - for Domke J-Series Journalist Shoulder Bags (Replacement)
The Domke J-Series Adjustable Main Compartment Insert is part of the Padded Insert System that is designed to organize and protect imaging gear. This insert is a complete, self-contained storage component with walls that are sewn to the bottom so items won't stray. You can move or remove any insert without having to empty it first.
This Insert will hold many different sizes and combinations of camera bodies and lenses.

I have a messenger bag that I converted to a kit bag for all my camera and lenses. It just so happened that it has velcro inside for other messenger bag options. It fits my new The Domke J-Series insert perfectly. Cost effective and it provides decent padding for my camera and lenses.

It isn't clear from the picture, but the inner dividers can be placed anywhere thanks to the hook and loop fasteners. This makes the insert very flexible. It retains the padding as well.
The inner dividers are the same height as the rest of the insert, unlike the stitched versions where they're a little shorter.

Nice alternative to the traditional fixed size Domke inserts. I can make one sleeve large enough to fit a 70-200/2.8 with hood (won't fit standard insert) and make the next tight enough to fit a 50/1.4, and adjust the rest for whatever I may be carrying that day. Made for J-Series, but fits my F4AF well enough. Thicker padding than traditional Domke inserts.

A very useful accessory; this self contained insert provides a well padded ride for my Leica MP and keeps it from from banging into other gear in my J Series bag. I think the price of this item is a bit high but it's very nicely made. Too bad this insert isn't included with the purchase of a J Series bag.
