I read quite a few reviews before purchasing these. My budget was extremely low at the time so the price was definitely right. I'd read some reviews where the binoculars did not focus properly or became permanently fogged, but I have had neither of these problems. I try to practice good care by putting them back in the case when I have to take them from the cold outdoors to the warm indoors to prevent this. They are so inexpensive though, I figure I don't have much to lose. For the high magnification, they still let in enough light for decent viewing at dusk and at night. They don't shake too much but they do require a little steadiness when holding. Nothing to worry about though. The real test will be the u2 concert in June at Angel Stadium. I may just give them 5 stars.

These are nice binoculars, dont get me wrong, but I didn't really see anything that excited me so much that I would want to carry these around everywhere. I was able to make use of them at a concert where I wasn't able to get close seats to the stage and could barely see the people without these. These being compact really helped

Comments about Bushnell 12x25 Powerview Roof Binocular (Black):

These have got to be one of the best 10 values on the B&H's website! These are great general use binoc's that I keep in the truck. I bought these at the same time I bought a $ pair of Bushnell Bear Greasly(sp?). The $ pair were bought for work and the truck. And the cheap $ pair were for the wife's car. I've since given her the expensive pair since she likes them a little more. But the cheaper pair at 1/10 the price provide almost the same quality viewing experience! While the build quality isn't "quite" as good it is still amazing for the price. The case is nylon as opposed to leather for the other case. If asked to price the $ binoculars I would have guessed $-$. I also bought on the same order 2 monoculars - one expensive and one cheaper, but both cost more then this binocular! I like this product so much that I just bought FOUR MORE to give away as presents and white elephant gifts.

These are good, basic binoculars. I use them for birding and they're the perfect size for a coat pocket or backpack. The image is what you'd expect: adequate. But it's a good deal.

pretty powerful and easy to use.
only complaint is that the neck strap is just a string. it sits uncomfortably when hanging from the neck and i can see it ripping pretty easily.

but for this much money, i shouldn't complain...
