The Century Precision Optics DS-FEWA-58 0.3x Ultra Fish-eye Adapter Lens gives you an extreme fish-eye effect and a high degree of barrel distortion. It exaggerates depth by pulling nearby objects closer and causing distant objects to recede into the background.

Ideal for capturing extreme action shots, the DS-FEWA-58 gives you a wide viewing angle of 130;° (180° diagonally).

Note! Will not work on Canon GL-1, Sony VX-2000 or PD-150.

Comments about Century Precision Optics DS-FEWA-58 0.3x Ultra Fish-eye Adapter Lens - 58mm:

I purchased this lens to use with my canon vixia hf-s20. I was looking forward to the wide angle viewing and videos, primarily for panoramic scenes in HD. This lens is a quality lens and it shows but can not be used with any type of image stabilization as the lens "flower" becomes part of the picture. Barrel distortion is expected with this lens and was not an issue for me. It is not a zoom-through lens so maximum wide is the only option. I also purchased a Sony VCL-HG0758 0.7X wide conversion lens which IS a full zoom through lens and a much better option for my work.

Comments about Century Precision Optics DS-FEWA-58 0.3x Ultra Fish-eye Adapter Lens - 58mm:

I use this lens to Shoot Paragliding Aerobatics with an on board leg mounted camera (JVC GY-HM100), which has a 46mm filter size on the front. I use a step-up adapter and a 46mm Filter that is required as a spacer between camera and adapter to mount this lens, and it performs well, though shooting against the sun, at least in my configuration, it does not do as well as I have experienced with the small 37mm fisheye. suspect the filter may be part of the problem, so will try removing the glass from the filter to reduce the number of refraction surfaces.

Century recently announced a 46mm version of this lens, so you may want to wait for it if you have 46mm thread in front. it will also be slightly smaller and lighter. I'll be selling mine as soon as the 46mm is out...
