This is the best value in ballheads with tension control. You can adjust the friction of the head to precisely match your equipment in use, making movement and control a cinch. Like all other Giottos, it has an independent pan bed.

I have have this for a few years now...
No problems..works great, without a glitch.
Panning lock a nice feature... this unit not really for a quick 'set-up and shoot' situation

I have two of these ballheads, one on each of my Giotto's tripods (a heavy duty aluminum unit and a lighter weight carbon tripod). These are nice units. Nice quality and construction. They handle a lot of weight as well. I love them. I also love the Giotto's quick releases. I have the Arca - rail type and the square type.
