I have a new Shure SM58 that works with an XLR to other cameras & gear. I also have a Canon HF S21 that works with other external mics, but this cable didn't work to connect those pieces despite what the audio level monitors showed. I didn't find out until I was ingesting video and my audio was a mere whisper. I cross-tested all of my other gear, it's definitely this cable. Now an event I covered for my website does not have enough content in my opinion. Grr.

I have a Tascam DR-100 that has both XLR inputs taken, so I needed something to get my shotgun mic plugged into my camera. This worked perfectly and the sound quality was surprisingly great. Great Buy.

We received this product right on time. It was a last minute order, but B&H (recommended to me by a co-worker) shipped the cord the same day as we ordered, we received it within 2-days and it was here in time for our needs (for a Skype audio/video conference test run).

I use the cable to run a boom mic off of my Canon GL2. the cable works great. Very durable, the connections are sturdy, plus the XLR tip has a rubber seal on it to keep the connection from vibrating (my OLD CABLE would make a horrible clanking sound when ever you moved the boom). Great buy if you don't have a built in XLR input on your camera
