Nikon Straight Bracket SK-7 for SU-4 Wireless Slave Flash Controller

You Pay: $24.95

The Nikon SK-7 is a horizontal bracket that has two 1/4"-20 screws; one of them is adjustable.  This bracket allows for a flash on an off-camera cord or any other accessories with 1/4"-20 threads to be mounted parallel to the camera.  It is extremely rigid and well constructed.

Comments about Nikon Bracket SK-7 for SU-4:

I bought this bracket to use as a simple flash bracket for macro photography. Coupled with a mini ball head, it allows for the flash to be at a better angle (off camera) and adjustable, in an easy to set up and light package.

Comments about Nikon Bracket SK-7 for SU-4:

I was hired to shoot an event which was 5 1/2 hours. I knew with a Nikon D800 body, Speedlight, and 24-70 lens it was going to be heavy and I needed a bracket. I have a Stroboframe, and a Really Right Stuff bracket but either one would add even more weight. I read David Busch's BD800 Book and in it he recommends the SK-7 Bracket. I immediately ordered it from B and H and am I glad I did. It worked beautifully. Lightweight..perfect with flash off to the side. If you use an external flash..don't hesitate..get one. You won't regret it.

Comments about Nikon Bracket SK-7 for SU-4:

Nikon should have a quick release mount for the SB900 but by combining this with a Slik DQ-10 quick release and the Nikon SC-17 or SC-28 cable, a functional combination is possible.

Comments about Nikon Bracket SK-7 for SU-4:

This product is awesome... but I did not use it as it is intended. I used it to side mount a point and shoot that I use for recording video. Thuogh I use Canon, this fits perfectly on my DSLR and Canon P&S so I can record HD movie while taking pictures. Your P&S will follow where you aim your camera so it works perfectly.

It works as advertised. Can be used to side-mount a flash on a camera that lacks a hot shoe.
