The Lowel Pro and i-Light Gel Frame holds 5 x 6" gels in its integral gel jaws. It collapses for storage like the Tota-frame.

I enjoy many of Lowel's products. Most of them can stand being banged up and shuffled around in the field. This gel holder, however, is one that doesn't stand up to being thrown around. The screws all fall apart too easily. I now only attach the gels to the barn doors.

This is fun! So easy to slip in different colors to test, or multiple gels for rich color accents.

Comments about Lowel Pro/i-light Gel Frame:
I use the Gel Frame with my pro lights. They're great for light diffusion with the frost gels, and the ND filters work great too. Someone said it doesn't work well with barn doors. I beg to differ, I use the barn doors and gel frame together to control light spillage from the sides. I leave the top barn door opened a bit to vent heat. When working with nylon light tents for small product photography, the frost gel works great as a heat shield protecting the nylon from heat damage. Needless to say the frost gel evenly disperses the light across the fabric of the light tent as well. My only wish is that the gel holder was designed to hold 2 gels. It's not recommended to stack gels. I tried it once and the heat buildup between the layers damaged both gels.

I use the frame to hold paper that will diffuse my light. The frame was
small than The one I use before, but I able to make it work.

Comments about Lowel Pro/i-light Gel Frame:
Better than using a tota frame on a pro light. Small size easy to work with.
Note: Does not work great with barndoors. You can remove the lower flag from the barndoor and it will fit on, but not great range of motion in remaining doors. IF you really need full barndoor control use the oversized tota frame.

Comments about Lowel Pro/i-light Gel Frame:
Awesome product. You can beat a gel frame made specifically for Lowell lights. It's tough, portable and holds the gels in place even in a stiff breeze. I have 4 of these on an outdoor, "College game day" style set and they work perfectly. I love them.
