The Omni-Bounce creates a diffused bare bulb effect, giving even coverage across the entire frame, with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well). The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and goes onto and off the flash in seconds with custom fitting (except for UNI model) and no touch fastener. Designed for years of service without the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into a gadget bag or pocket.

If the compactness matters — this is my choice. I think it's useless to take my flash with me without a duffuser, but my Lightsphere clone is big and heavy.
Although, Lightsphere diffuses light somewhat better, you'll be surprised with the performance of this little thing.
Currently I own a clear Lightsphere clone («Lambency flash diffuser»). In the past I tried to use Lumiquest products, I owned Softbox II and Ultrabounce, unsatisfied with both.

I think if this diffuser used thinner material it would perform better.

Comments about Sto-Fen OM-MZ40 Omni-Bounce:
I use this for softening flash on subjects with reflective characteristics or for diffusing an off camera fill flash in TTL mode.
Two good things to know:
1. If you're using this as your primary, on camera flash, you should only use as a bounce flash.
2. Sto fen does not make one in any other color than white for the Pentax 540 series flashes; I guess the market isn't there yet. I would buy one in blue and one in amber if they made them.

Great diffuser for that harsh flash light. Softens the light nicely and is easy to use. If you have a flash gun, this is an inexpensive must to include in your bag.

I bought this with my Pentax AF-540FGZ flash to use for bounce flash in small rooms. I also have a Lightsphere Cloud and the Omni-Bounce work just as good for 1/3 the price and no questions about the Tupperware on my flash.
