The LLS-2 Line Level Shifter & Hum Eliminator from Ebtech is a handy two-channel utility that effectively provides line level transformation between balanced and unbalanced devices. The Line Level Shifter also contains Ebtech's Hum Eliminator technology for breaking the ground loops that cause 60Hz hum and AC buzz, noise that can occur when making these kinds of connections.
Audiophile quality components and passive design provide a quiet signal path throughout. The unit uses the physics of inductance and impedance matching to increase or decrease the signal voltage without the added noise of active electronics. "Smart" connections automatically distinguish between balanced and unbalanced connections. The unit features 1/4" TRS phone inputs and outputs on both channels.

Comments about Ebtech LLS-2 - Dual Channel Line Level Shifter & Hum Eliminator:
I got this to use with my Jet City 50W head (line level fx loop) and Line 6 M13 (instrument level). These two together actually worked fine for a few months then suddenly - super quiet sound. I first set it up connected through the fx loop send and on the return, but I noticed the volume was about half of what it should've been. I ended up only hooking it up only on the fx return end.JCA fx loop send > m13 in > m13 out > ebtech -10dB > ebtech +4dB > JCA fx return. Perfect! Works like a charm, definitely recommend it if you run into issues with a line level fx loop. Nice metal box, seems like it should last forever. 4 stars because it seems to affect my tone a minor amount. Not a big deal to me since it's barely noticeable and worth it over not being able to use my FX with my amp. Might be more of an issue for studio stuff though.

Comments about Ebtech LLS-2 - Dual Channel Line Level Shifter & Hum Eliminator:
I have been wrestling with a buzz in our church's sound system coming from the video/sound switcher for some time. Tried a lot of things including using a 2 prong 110v adapter to do away with the ground to the unit. Nothing cleared it up until I installed the LLS-2 between the switcher and the sound board. Buzzing is completely gone and I am happy.

I use the LLS-2 in the effects loop of my amp. It does exactly what it says it will. No noticeable noise or hum at all.

Comments about Ebtech LLS-2 - Dual Channel Line Level Shifter & Hum Eliminator:
The product itself is great...does just what it's supposed to, and eliminates hum too. Documentation is pretty poor, that's the only downside. But it's not the most complicated device in the world, so it's OK.
