This is one of the least costly ways to easily review slides. The Hama DB 54 allowed me to quickly review an old collection of slides to cull the duplicates and select those invaluable keepsakes from the collection for additional processing as prints or digital files.

Was able to view about 40 slides and now it does not work. No instructions in the box of where to put the batteries or how to get the item apart to put them in.

I've had trouble with this viewer. I've just
pulled it out again but cannot get the light to stay on and I can't figure out how to get the batteries out -crazy as that seems!

I use this to quickly review boxed slides before scanning, for which it works well enough. There is some optical distortion, which makes it unsuitable for critical viewing.
