This SP Systems 8' Light Stand is aluminum, 4 sections, with sure-twist section locks.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioning of this stand.
This useful feature saves equipment, and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
Note: This light stand is only available for sale at B&H as part of the Excalibur Monolight Kits.

Really durable and strong will hold any light and looking forward to upgrading what I have to use these more often. Not flimsy what so ever and with the air cushion nothing comes smashing down if you forget to close one of the adjustment latches

Comments about SP Studio Systems Air Cushioned Light Stand - 8' (2.4 m):
This is a nice little stand. It is fairly light (construction-wise) so don't expect it to hold a very large softbow. With my SP Systems 37" Octa Softbox it looked to be in danger of bending. However, it would be perfectly suited for strobes with snoots, barndoors and umbrellas. Another plus to this stand is the fact that it will fit inside of a large duffle bag. My larger stand may hold more weight and be steadier, but they will not fit inside of a duffle bag.

Comments about SP Studio Systems Air Cushioned Light Stand - 8' (2.4 m):
This stand comes with kits from SP systems. It's OK. It will tip over if weighted too heavy. I know most stands have these issues.
if I had to buy a stand without a kit, I would not buy this. I would look for a c stand where you can easily put sand bags over it.
