The SVS-14 is a passive, non powered, composite (RCA) and Y/C (S-video), stereo audio switcher.
This unit is not a signal convertor, therefore composite must be routed to composite and Y/C to Y/C.

This unit works as advertised. There are no visual artifacts or signal degradation as I have seen in other devices (Pelican), and the switches and connectors are sturdy and well made. The only complaints I have are aesthetic: the unit I received has a slight green tint to the outer casing, unlike the description and photos showing it to be black; and the unit does not weigh enough to ensure that it does not fall backwards under the tension of four composite cables connected to the rear inputs. I would recommend this device to anyone in need of a simple composite or S-video switch.

Of course, for the price tag, this is not a high-end product but is surprisingly good. Solid construction. I use it to switch audio sources from 3 digital recorders and a SW radio to an amplifier.

I purchased this product after buying a TV which only had one set of AV connections. That wasn't going to work with the kid's Wii, DVD/VCR player and other connectable toys. This A/V switch works great, is very clean looking and easy to install. I added some small adhesive tags over each switch so the kids know which button to push for whatever they want to play. Very happy with the price, as it turns my discount TV model into a higher end model for a lot less money.

This device does exactly what it says it does and with absolutely NO quality loss! Fantastic product. I have read review on other products similar to this one and saw that they lose quality on the S-Video as opposed to plugging one S-Video cable straight to and from only two devices. With this you can switch between four separate S-Video devices to your TV without any quality loss!

It is exactly what it is - a mechanical audio switch. There are no bells and whistles. It's simple and it works.
Thus far I have had no problem with this selector. The 3.5mm audio out is a nice touch as I am using the box as a computer stereo selector switch.

I am using this switch at my house to switch between my Wii, DVD player, PS2 and a video line from my MacBook Pro. It has worked flawlessly for the past month. Well, I have multiple gaming consoles and all I have to do is use A/V cables to connect to my tv and connect my consoles onto this SVS-14 video switcher and with a press of a button I can see on the console I selected on the tv screen. It shows well too, without any scanlines. This device works without a plug or battery. I should of bought one this things years ago. The only regret I have, it doesnt have more inputs, or HD inputs. But overall, its worth buying if you have multiple gaming systems or any devices that have A/V inputs.

Everywhere i went i couldn't find the good old fashioned audio switcher, to switch 3 inputs for my stereo aux input: ipod, computer, TV. Finalally i found this - although it also has video jack also, it has stereo RCA jacks, which is all i use. Works fine, i can't hear any sound degradation. switching isn't noisy
