The black 5603 Pro System 3 Camera Bag from Tamrac is a compact bag designed to accommodate the digital and film SLR cameras with a 200mm zoom lens attached, a couple of smaller lenses and a flash. It cradles the camera with attached zoom lens and uses the Lens-Bridge and LensGate Divider Systems. It has a Dual Action Top that provides rain protection to the foam-padded main compartment which supports the camera on foam pillars. For shock protection, the bottom has a thick, foam-padded plastic platform. The bag has a Front Pocket that uses a Memory & Battery Management System that uses red flags to identify which memory cards and batteries are available and which ones are used up.
Inside the top, a Windowpane-Mesh pocket stores filters, film or cleaning materials. There is a ZipDrop front pocket that has paraphernalia pockets and a mesh pocket to organize small accessories and personal items. In back, a zippered pocket holds maps, tickets and instruction manuals while a Piggy-Back Pocket allows the bag to be slipped over the handle of rolling luggage.
The 5603 has an adjustable, BioCurve shoulder strap and an EasyGrip carrying handle. The bag can use optional Tamrac accessories that use the attachment slots for our S.A.S. (Strap Accessory System) and M.A.S. (Modular Accessory System) products to customize this compact, professional bag.

Optimise for maximum space use. The only thing is the space under the camera is a little hard to get stuff there. But overall this bag is well done, compact & robust

I absolutely love this bag! great storage, not too heavy, and optional removable dividers. The only thing i wish is that it was just a little bit bigger to fit all of my lenses

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
I got this bag as part of a full kit with the Nikon D800 and I absolutely love it. It is really well designed and securely holds all of my equipment: body and lenses, extra batteries and charger, external flash, etc. I will admit, it is rather large, so if you don't have a lot of extra gear you want to carry around with you at all times, it might be a bit over-kill for you. On the whole I think it's a really great product.

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
Using the bag to carry Nikon D90, 18-55mm, 70-300mm, SD cards, charger, and spare battery to photo the launch of STS-135 and it's working great. Plenty of space to carry gear plus a few extras. Only downside is an annoying flap on the inside left that cushions/positions the body and mounted lense which needs to be positioned manually when the camera is inserted into bag. If it were a little stiffer it wouldn't need to be moved each time.

I liked the camera bridge on the older bags. In my case the "wings" on the current bridge gets in the way and requires moving them around to get the camera to fit properly.

I've been buying Tamrac products for a long time and have never been disappointed. Really like the fact that it compatible with the M.A.S. and S.A.S. system. Overall great value for the money well constructed.

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
Right now, this bag is holding a DSLR, two "kit lenses," a macro/portrait lens, and two flash units, plus a battery charger, two spare batteries, a memory card vault, spare filters, owner's manuals for camera and flash and a few other incidentals. The bag is deep enough to allow stacking of items, and well partitioned with movable dividers. I could not possibly be more pleased.

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
I already had one of these bags for a small video camera that I purchased recently. I was so impressed with the quality of it that I bought another one for my wife's DSLR. I really like the construction, organization and customization of the product. I've owned other Tamrac products in the past as well and they always are top notch. The bag resists water really well if you get caught out in the rain and for some reason I particularly like the red flaps you can pull out in the front pocket that I store my memory cards in. A good way to know if that memory card is empty or not. (set it up how you want . . . red flap out means either empty or full, however you like to set it up) Plenty of nooks and crannies to squirrel away cables, batteries, filters and other small stuff as well.

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
Nice, small and unnoticeable bag for people who don't require extreme durability. Construction could be a little more stronger but this one works fine. I use it to carry a camera with lens attached, two additional lenses, flash and lens hoods, which unfortunately have to be carried loose inside the bag. If you attach them to lenses (reversed ofcourse) they simply won't fit the bag. If there are no hoods, then there is room for one more lens.

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
The bag is the perfect size for just the essentials. The straps are nice, the compartments are good sized with little compartments for individual storage, and the dividers on the inside are velcro and customizable for exactly what you need. I think the sides could have been slightly more "stiff" and supportive, but it should provide plently of support for average use.

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
I use this bag every day to carry DSLR, 2 lenses, flash and various small electronics. Like all Tamrac bags, this one is well-made and very organized. Plenty of pockets for everything. This bag is for someone who is selective about what they carry and wants to travel light. It will not hold everything including the kitchen sink. It is very comfortable to carry, and the price is reasonable.

Comments about Tamrac 5603 Camera Bag (Black):
I bought this bag to hold my Nikon D90, it prime 18-105 VR lens, flash and my Nikon 70-300 VR lens. It all fits neatly and compactly. The cushioned inserts help protect and hold the camera which sits on top and in the zipper front, I can store extra camera batteries, flash batteries and all the SD memory cards I can put into the special pouches built inside the zippered area. I have plenty of room for filters and miscellaneous items. The whole kit is supported by a heavy duty shoulder strap which makes carrying everything a breeze. It also has a neat hand grip. I can't say enough good about this bag and I'm very happy with it and would highly recommend it to everyone.
